Ron Bradley Is A Coward

I caught wind over the weekend to another follow up on the bru-ha-ha at the Edmonton Public School Board but wasn't able to get around blogging about it until this evening. Sadly, the principal in question, Ron Bradley lacks the fortitude to stand by his own policy it seems as he has resigned his principalship and taken on another (thankfully) non-teaching position within the board. Lebanon Says Israeli Planes Circled Its Airspace for an Hour

Lynsey at The Coming Crisis - 12 minutes ago
*JERUSALEM — The morning after the Israeli Air Force shot down an unidentified drone in the Negev Desert, the Lebanese government said that four Israeli warplanes spent an hour on Sunday illegally circling in its airspace.* The Israeli Defense Forces refused to confirm or deny the report from the Lebanese Army, which said the planes entered above the village of Kfar Kila at 10:10 a.m. and left above Naqoura an hour later. Such flyovers are not unusual and prompt regular complaints from Lebanon to the United Nations, but Sunday’s caused a stir because of the drone shot down the day... more »

National Electoral Council president Tibisay Lucena says that with most votes counted, Chavez had about 54 percent of the vote. It was Chavez's third re-election victory in nearly 14 years in office. The victory gives Chavez another six-year term to cement his legacy and press more forcefully for a transition to socialism in the country with the world's largest proven oil reserves. source

Elizabeth Renter Stress is a killer, literally. Not only does it kill your mood and your outlook, it can significantly suppress your immune system and help, ultimately paving way for a sooner death. Not only that, but stress is a contributor to heart disease and many other lifestyle diseases. Effectively managing stress is a learned practice, but anyone can learn of ways to destress anytime. Lying is good politics

Libby Spencer at The Impolitic - 9 hours ago
On some bobblehead show this morning, Newt admitted Mitt changed his tune on taxes, completely. He didn't call him a liar this time, but considering Rmoney's real tax plan still includes a huge break for the 1%, it's clearly not true. But as Newt says, *it is* good politics. Most of the 60 or 70 millions viewers of that debate haven't been following along. This would have been the first, most specific claim they've heard Rmoney make. The media has been half-heartedly calling him out on it, but those viewers won't see that either. So no incentive to be truthful and we already know ... more »

Elizabeth Renter When you purchase shampoo or cosmetics and it has a sticker on it that claims it is “natural”, what’s your impression? You think the ingredients are all-natural, right? Naturally, you are not alone. However, the agency who is in charge of certifying personal care items as “natural” seems to think GMO ingredients fit under this umbrella. No matter what product it is, 100% natural does NOT also mean GMO-free. *The Question of 100% Natural* The Natural Products Association (NPA) claims its role in regards to personal care items is to help consumers choose those pr... more »

10% of U.S. Teens Have Liver Disease…Why?

Mark Daniels at GLOBAL POLITICAL AWAKENING - 16 hours ago
Elizabeth Renter Did you know about 10% of teenagers have liver disease? The figure would be unbelievable if it wasn’t substantiated with solid science. But, it’s true—an estimated one-in-ten teens in the United States has *nonalcoholic fatty liver disease*, or NAFLD; this according to the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). The NHANES looked at over 10,300 teens between the ages of 12 and 18 from 1998 to 2008, and found that 9.9% suffer from the disease commonly only thought of as an adult disease, and a rare one at that. *The politically incorrect rapper Snoop Dog put his two cents in the heated national debate leading up to the November election, posting online a foul-mouthed yet funny list of reasons why he would vote for Barack Obama over Mitt Romney.* The 40-year-old hip hop-turned-reggae artist, who had recently changed his name to Snoop Lion, posted a photo of the handwritten list originally created by @DragonflyJonez on Friday. Eric Draitser StopImperialism.com October 7, 2012 Venezuela goes to the polls this Sunday in an election many are calling a referendum on President Chavez and his policies. Although there is surely such a dimension, the significance of the elections goes far beyond political opinion and partisan bickering, striking at the heart of the Venezuelan state. This is because these elections will be used as a front for an attempt to overthrow, by brute force if necessary, the democratically elected government and put in its place a government more amenable to US interests.
