Barack was all jacked up on a variation of his stump speech. Mitt was his

Still, it was edifying to learn that both contenders are such staunch

"Parts of the One: Ants and Bees, a Metaphor"
* "Parts of the One: Ants and Bees, a Metaphor"*
by Madisyn Taylor, The DailyOM
"We can learn a lot from watching ants and bees living in community and
working for the greater good. When we see ants and bees out in the world,
we often see just one, but this belies the reality of their situation. More
than any other species, ants and bees function as parts of a whole. They
cannot and do not survive as individuals; they survive as members of a
group, and the group’s survival is the implicit goal of each individual’s
life. There is no concept of life outside the group, so even to us... more »
"Mundus Vult Decipi, Ergo Decipiatur..."
"Mundus vult decipi, ergo decipiatur," a Latin phrase, means "The world
wants to be deceived, so let it be deceived." The saying is ascribed to
Petronius, a Roman satirist from the first century, CE. "The pontifex
maximus Scævola thought it expedient that the people should be deceived in
religion; and the learned Varro said plainly, that "there are many truths,
which it is useless for the vulgar to know; and many falsities which it is
fit the people should not suppose are falsities." Hence comes the adage
"Mundus vult decipi, decipiatur ergo."

The New York Times Endorses Months-Old Conspiracy Theory About Syrian Rebels
On Sunday, October 14, the *New York Times* came out in support for the
truther-inspired, and months-old conspiracy theory that foreign arms are

The Times, however, did not completely endorse the truthers' view. Only
Saudi Arabia and Qatar are mentioned as the financial and military backers
of the Jihadists. According to the warped worldview of the Times, the CIA

Every fall since I realized trees are dying from air pollution, I have
tried to post photos that remind people that not so long ago, leaves in
autumn used to turn brilliant colors on the branches, and *then* fall off,
and *then* turn brown. You could rake them into a crazy kaleidoscopic pile
and jump into their softness. Countless schoolchildren picked up the most
perfect samples to preserve in sheets of waxed paper - and they would still
be bright and vibrant in color, supple and smooth to the touch, long after
they had fallen.

Will Obama Turn Back The Assault On Public Education?

In 2007 I posted that people in Soleil were so hungry they were eating

As people found out about this atrocity I think they were in disbelief. One
commenter wrote that maybe the lady who makes the mudpies in Soleil should
turn into a Mrs. Fields and export her mudpies to the States.
In 2012 people in Soleil are still eating mudpies.
Her "factory" is in the same location in an especially dangerous part of

*Removal of Gaia Grid Restrictions in Process*
October 16, 2012
Removal of Gaia grid restrictions currently in process. Dome of containment
still applies, however grid expansion and Higher D attunement continues.
Point by point evaluation and restriction pin removal is occurring,
allowing energetic upgrades among Gaia ground workers to proceed.
Concomitant brightening of grid points is noted, and is viewable from
Higher Perspective. Allows “standing up” for many undercovers.
“Stand up” Hue-mans are invited to do so, as Higher Guidance so moves.

"Turn on the TV or flip open the newspaper on any given day, and you will
find yourself accosted by reports of government corruption, corporate
malfeasance, militarized police and marauding SWAT teams. Yet even more
dangerous than these violations of our basic rights is the language they

the taming of our fear."

The Olive Grove War Re-Ignites
How do you steal a Palestinian's land? It usually begins by destroying
his olive groves. Destroy his livelihood and then you can claim the land

It's the olive harvest on the West Bank and, true to form, Israeli settlers

The Palestinians are pleading for the international community to send
observers to their lands, hoping this will force the Army to restrain the

Chinese world domination is not far off, a theme I normally come around to when I’ve had too much to drink or, in some cases, not enough to drink.
By Ed West
The United States of America has overshadowed all our lives. It is not just
its financial and military muscle – in almost every sphere of human
activity America’s dominance has dwarfed that of any other country in a way
that even Victorian Britain was unable to achieve, especially in its hold
on popular culture. Had a US city hosting the Olympics presented its
national story in its opening ceremony it would have been instantly
intelligible to much of the rest of the world; the opening to London’s
Olympics was baffling to foreigners.
And yet over the next few decades Amer... more »

After his capture in early 2002, Zubaydah was the first “detainee” known

Reaction To McGuinty's Departure CLEARLY Demonstrates The 'Messiah Wish' Of Many Federal Liberals
*I'm only going to post a few words about the departure of Ontario Premier
Dalton McGuinty. The single thought I have on Dalton is a repetition of
what I've posted here previously about the magical beliefs that seem to
infest 21st Century Liberal Party thinking ..*..
*"Many Liberals believe in what can only be described as 'political alchemy'.
They adhere religiously to the belief that if they can simply find the
'right' leader, they will in short order be returned to the halls of power
- the political equivalent of turning base metal into gold."*

The Missing Famous Town Hall Debate Moment
The most famous Town Hall debate moment, as far as I can tell, came from
the first time the format was used; it was the woman who asked George H.W.
Bush how the deficit affected him personally (Adam Serwer talked about it
today, thus providing proof that it's famous).
But the other famous Town Hall debate moment should have been the startling
one just four years ago, well into the age when you would think that
nothing like this could happen unnoticed on TV with everyone watching. I've
mentioned it before, but I bet you don't know what I'm talking about, do
you? It's about John McCai... more »

Joy-Ann Reid and the loaf of bread!
*TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2012*
*Ten thousand hacks of Harvard:* We heard it last week at the bagel joint.
In part for that reason, we were surprised when we heard Joy-Ann Reid say
it to Lawrence last night.
Reid is a Harvard grad (class of 91). She’s also a Standard Press Corps
Hack, of the new pseudo-liberal variety.
Good God! Yes, she authored these comments:
O’DONNELL (10/15/12): When has a moderator ever gotten a candidate not to
use a talking point in the history of televised debates?
REID: I would argue that Martha Raddatz did it. But in these kinds of
debates, town halls, it’... more »

Corporate Psychosis: Are You Exhibiting Symptoms?
Bernie Suarez, *Contributor*
The term ‘psychosis’ is used to describe a mental disorder in people;
generally defined by *Stedman’s Medical Dictionary* as - ‘a mental disorder
causing gross distortion or disorganization of a person’s mental capacity,
affective response, and capacity to recognize reality, communicate, and
relate to others to the degree of interfering with his capacity to cope
with the ordinary demands of everyday life.‘
So if a person’s mental health is subjected to this ‘psychosis’ criteria
why not corporations? Here is an argument that (esp. large mega-size)

Is It Time For The NDP In PEI?
*The times are a changing on Prince Edward Island. The two old line partys
may have had their day ... let's hope!*
"*You don’t have to support the NDP to realize Islanders were best served
when Dr Herb Dickieson served a single term in the provincial legislature.
He held not only the Conservatives, but the Liberals accountable. He raised
issues neither traditional party would. And he delivered results. Without
his prodding one wonders whether key public investments like publicly
funded daycare would be a reality today. The NDP drove that on to the
public agenda.*

Graph of the Day: Moisture Content and Groundwater Depletion in the U.S., September 2012
[image: These maps combine data from the twin GRACE satellites with
ground-based measurements to map the relative amount of water stored near
the surface and underground as of 17 September 2012. The top map shows
moisture content in the top 2 centimeters of surface soil; the middle map
depicts moisture in the 'root zone,' or the top meter of soil; and the
third map shows groundwater in aquifers. In all of the maps, September 2012
conditions remain significantly drier than the norm. Maps by Chris Poulsen,

Obama’s War Record
Global Research
Jack A. Smith
[image: obamadoublespeak]When Sen. Barack Obama ran for the presidency in
2008 many wishful-thinking Democratic voters viewed him as a peace
candidate because he opposed the Iraq war (but voted yes on the war budgets
while in the Senate). Some others assumed his foreign/military policy would
be along the lines of Presidents George H. W. Bush (whom Obama admires) or
Bill Clinton. Some who identified as progressives actually thought his
foreign/military policy might tilt to the left.
Instead, center rightist that he is, Obama’s foreign/military policy

Pre-Debate Blather
Mitt Romney and Barack Obama may be Harvard Law School grads, but you
wouldn't know it based on their abysmal understanding of basic contract
law. The two campaigns had signed a "memorandum of understanding" in which
they decreed that Candy Crowley's moderation role would be limited to
introductions and enforcing time limits. The only problem is, they didn't
tell her their rules and she isn't agreeing to them. She's been going
around threatening to ask follow-up questions of the candidates if they
don't come clean with their citizen-subject inquisitors. And Mitt and Barry

Reader's View: Constitutional amendments pushed by Republicans
By: John C. Green, Duluth News Tribune
It’s time that both constitutional-amendment issues on the ballot this
election in Minnesota were “outed” for what they are: Republican ploys to
generate votes from its conservative base.
He is referring to both of the RWNJ amendments that are on the ballot in
Minnesota this year.

31 Days of Photo Props: Toys
Have you entered the Owl Necklace Giveaway yet?
When I worked in a portrait studio five or so years ago, one of the
things they always pushed us to do was to get people to bring their own
props from home. Why? A photo means a lot more if you are hugging the teddy
bear you have had since you were born than if it is some random studio prop.
When I schedule appointments of children I always ask if they have a
favorite stuffed animal or doll. Even if you just snap a few pictures of
them with their favorite toy and the majority of the session focuses
elsewhere, they are going to be ha... more »

WHO LOST AMERICA: Flight from the truth!
*TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2012*
*Part 2—Ruth Marcus, deep in the bag:* When Joe Biden’s smiles of an autumn
night became the press corps’ Official Group Focus, we had to make an
admission:
We had been wrong! For some time!
In the age of Obama; in the age of MSNBC; in the age which started after
Iraq, we didn’t think we’d see it again! We didn’t think we’d see the
mainstream pundit corps align with the right on so stupid a focus—on a
stupid, simple-minded focus designed to defeat Obama.
