Very few politicians have the good sense to quit while they're ahead. And
so it was with Dalton McGunity. Perhaps he figured he would go down to
defeat in the last election. And he would have, if Tim Hudak's
Conservatives had not imploded. In opposition, the party could have renewed

But to almost everyone's surprise, McGuinty almost won a third majority
mandate. One seat may not seem like much. But, sometimes, it is everything.
Faced with difficult labour negotiations, he needed that one seat to pass a

Spider Silk May Be Used in Biodegradable Computer Chips

Researchers have been trying to crack the code of spider silk for years.
Its properties make it ideal for so many uses, but so far its recipe has
remained the secret of spiders. Yet that doesn't mean researchers aren't
coming up with amazing ways to use the silk spiders produce themselves. And
this time, it's computer chips.
According to Wired, "Light can travel through a silk strand as easily as it
does through a fiber optic cable" as discovered by physicist Nolwenn Huby ... more »
Optimal Tax Policy
Greg Mankiw at Greg Mankiw's Blog - 12 hours ago
A group of top economists was asked what they thought about this statement:
"Taxing capital income at a permanently lower rate than labor income would
result in higher average long-term prosperity, relative to an alternative
that generated the same amount of tax revenue by permanently taxing capital
and labor income at equal rates instead."
There was not unanimity, but about three times as many economists agreed
than disagreed.

"True freedom and the end of suffering is living in such
a way as if you had completely chosen whatever

This inner alignment with Now is the end of suffering.
Is suffering really necessary? Yes and no.
If you had not suffered as you have,
there would be no depth to you as a human being,

You would not be reading this now.
Suffering cracks open the shell of ego,
