A British citizen has revealed that he was able to donate to Obama's re-election campaign proving that at least one illegal foreign contribution has been accepted and casting suspicion on where millions of dollars may have come from. Chris Walker, who lives near London, made two $5 dollar donations to the President's campaign this month. It's Baack!
After getting a few wet flurries earlier in the week I awoke this morning to our first appreciable dump of snow. I was glad to have the day off since I've heard traffic conditions weren't exactly the greatest this morning. For some strange reason my trees still have most of their leaves which makes them stand out quite a bit against the others in the neighborhood. Apparently they didn't get the memo about losing their leaves quite yet. I certainly won't complain about not having to fetch the old rake though.

Honduras model cities plan ruled illegal
I've written about Honduras' model city plan several times, most recently here. The idea, championed by the government, was to create new, privately owned cities from scratch. The owners would make their own laws and set up their own schools and police forces and courts. It would be like a do-over for the country, separate states within Honduras. Years of prayers have been devoted to Kateri Tekakwitha, a woman that never let her faith waver despite persecution from her fellow natives. Nearly 300 years since her death, Tekakwitha is now set to make history. Tekakwitha’s devotion is being celebrated by the Catholic faithful as she is canonized on Sunday, becoming the first aboriginal from North America deemed a saint.
