11 October - RSS SnapShot! Pt I

‎"Heads up We need to move on this : Kimberly McCuiston and I Just got back from the Press Conference in Gulf Shores with AL.AG. Luther Strange Senator Jeff Sessions and Congressman Jo Bonner on the Restore Act and the very real possibility that The DOJ and US AG Eric Holder are going to settle the Federal Case with BP and do an end run around the Restore Act , funneling most of the fines and penalties to the NRDA process ; which would indeed be a huge Bonus to BP as they could write that off on their Taxes and have ultimate control of the spending of those NRDA funds.... Where as if they stick to the RESTORE ACT no tax write off and BP loses majority rule on spending the fine monies . I personally asked the panel about the $1 Billion in Early Restoration Monies BP Promised for NRDA and where that money was.. they couldn't answer me directly but Senator Pittman is checking on that for me .. The one person who was able to answer was Orange Beach Mayor Tony Kennon... he gave the exact answer I was looking for BP controls that money and the NRDA process is so convoluted that it could be years before we every see a dime of that Billion for the Early Restoration under NRDA.. We must demand the DOJ not settle with BP if the settlement is going to fly in the face of the Restore Act which our President signed into LAW !! I have plenty of pics and will be uploading them shortly .. Please Join me in spreading the word NO SETTLEMENT WHERE THE RESTORE ACT IS NOT UPHELD !!!"

Let's not forget the repeated application of Corexit, which made the oil many times more toxic and added the bonus of making it impossible to contain. Who is going to carry the can for that practice - which had corruption involved from the get-go. It implies restoration - is a pipe dream.
