Ellison to Repubs: Want cuts? Let’s Do It!!!

“ ... we work with our Republican colleagues to make cuts that really

”My point is, if Republicans want to do cuts, we should do cuts, but we’re
not going to hurt America’s working class and poor to do it,” Ellison said.
It appears one of the conversation and the topic of the conversation may be
taking a left turn.
Hopefully they stick with their talking points and refine them over the

(The Independent) – Shell’s ill-fated attempt to tow an offshore oil rig
from Alaska to Seattle in the final days of December was motivated by a
desire to avoid $7m (£4.3m) of Alaskan state taxes, it emerged today.
But the oil giant will instead suffer a multi-million dollar loss on the

Ex-Burglars Say Gun Owner Maps Make Their Jobs Easier, Safer
Reformed crooks say the New York newspaper that published a map of names
and addresses of gun owners did a great service – to their old cronies in
the burglary trade.
The information published online by the Journal-News, a daily paper serving
the New York suburbs of Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties, could be
highly useful to thieves in two ways, former burglars told FoxNews.com.
Crooks looking to avoid getting shot now know which targets are soft and
those who need weapons know where they can steal them.

sliver of sky: barry lopez tells his story of sexual abuse and recovery
In the current issue of *Harper's*, there is a long feature by author Barry
Lopez about the sexual abuse he endured as a child, and his path of
recovery and healing. It may be the best first-person account of such
trauma you will ever see.
Right now it is only available on the newstand or online by subscription.
Harper's makes most of their features available online eventually. However,
if you have a personal or professional interest in child sexual abuse, I
highly recommend buying a copy of the January 2013 issue of *Harper's* as
soon as you can.

Sea Frozen In China As Temperatures Plummet
Temperatures in China have plunged to their lowest in almost three decades,
freezing coastal waters and trapping 1,000 ships in ice.
Since late November the country has withstood average temperatures of
-3.8C, 1.3C colder than average and the chilliest for 28 years.
The bitter cold has even frozen the sea in Laizhou Bay on the coast of
Shandong province in the east, stranding nearly 1,000 ships, the China

Boehner Needs Something For A Headache-- Something Strong
According to the latest Gallup poll, most Americans don't trust the
Obama-Boehner deal and they blame Boehner and Republicans in Congress more
than Obama and the Democrats. People are feeling surly and let down by our
political elites. Sure, Boehner fares worst, but no one on either side of
the aisle has reason for celebrating:
Boehner, as usual, is ignoring the broad spectrum of American voters and
focusing on reestablishing unity in his fractured House caucus and

Obama says U.S. can't afford more showdowns over debt, deficits
Fresh from the long legislative fight to prevent a "fiscal cliff" of tax
hikes and spending cuts, President Barack Obama warned on Saturday that the
United States could not afford further budget showdowns this year or in the
future.
Obama, who returned to Hawaii for a family vacation shortly after the House
of Representatives passed a compromise bill on Tuesday, said in his weekly
radio and Internet address that the new law was just one step toward fixing
the country's fiscal and economic problems.

Tsunami warnings for coastal parts of Alaska and Vancouver Island have now been cancelled following an earthquake in the Pacific.
Gerard Fryer, a geophysicist from the Pacific Warning Centre said: "We have
seen a small tsunami at Port Alexander 100 miles south of the epicentre.
"The tsunami amplitude was 13cm which suggests there may be troublesome
waves in the immediate area of the quake, but beyond that there is no
hazard so we do not have a tsunami warning for anywhere else in the
pacific."

Six Russian Tourists Killed In Snowmobile Crash
A mother and her daughter were among six Russians killed after their
snowmobile crashed through a safety barrier and fell 300ft in the Italian
Alps.
Two others were seriously injured in the late night tragedy, which police
have blamed on excessive speed and icy conditions on the Mount Cermis in
north east Italy.
Officials said the run is usually lit at night but it had closed early
because of the icy conditions, and was shrouded in darkness when the
accident happened on Friday night.

Three people die as plane crashes into Florida home and explodes into fireball
Authorities say a small plane carrying three passengers was trying to land
at a Florida airport when it crashed into a house, killing all three aboard.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office reports that the pilot declared an
emergency shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, saying that the plane was shaking.
Authorities say the plane hit a Palm Coast home near the Flagler County
Airport in Jacksonville, Florida just west of I-95 a few minutes after the
pilot's mayday call.

James Russell's documentary - Resonance - melatonin creation is disabled in the modern electromagnetic environment
As David Icke will explain in his forthcoming newsletter, GET OFF THE
BLOODY CELLPHONE already.
*I have been warning for years about the electromagnetic ‘sea’ of pollution
and distortion in which billions live their lives and now comes an
excellent documentary by British television presenter James Russell that
looks in detail at this very issue.
I have posted the video below, but in this newsletter I want to put James’
work into an even wider context of human suppression and control. It would
be bad enough if what is happening was the result of crass stupidity and

Theory of something: QM has reached limits
Several people have asked me about the following press release that was
published a few days ago and that was reprinted at various servers such as
one that belongs to San Francisco Chronicle:
Theory of Something Reveals Why Quantum Mechanics has Reached its Limits:
Mass is Outside of Particles (press release)
We learn that quantum mechanics has been defeated. More colorfully, the
mass is located in a grid outside particles that is 100,000 times larger
than the particle itself. A proton has a core with 63 "negtrinos", electron
has 9 of them, and the hydrogen atom has a "grid room" fo... more »
Something Awful at Isfahan?
So far this story has near zero coverage and certainly no boots on the
ground. As quoted it has come by way of the BBC and I am sure, no end of
twitter messages.
However you only evacuate a population because of a disaster that can not
be safely contained. That cuts things down pretty quickly to chemical
disasters including gas blowouts and at worst radiation. The fact that it
looks like a full evacuation pretty well confirms those options. Something
very serious has occurred and it is necessary to put distance between the
population and the event center. So just what dir... more »
Ten Point Model for a Mental Health System
Today, we have no system except in the form of hospital administered care
which was never meant to handle this class of problem. This item is a
valuable rethink of the whole project.
What I would add is my direct reconnection with agricultural process. A
respite in the urban environment provides convenience to some at the
expense of constraining patient options. A farm based environment allows an
internal economy to emerge and ample opportunity for self development and
exercising choice.
Again it is time to open a debate on this and to operate outright

Tobacco Can be Cancer Free?
This is actually ugly. I would posit that all other obvious carcinogens
produced by the combustion process are readily handled by the body itself
since we have actually been doing just so for millennia.
The problem is alpha emitters of any kind. Outside the body, they are
effectively harmless. Recall how Radium glows so nicely and harmlessly.
Inside they are in immediate contact and overwhelm the adjacent cells to
trigger radiation induced carcinomas. I suspect that the body finds it
difficult to remove these islands and the problems accumulate until the
body is overwh... more »
Donna Vanzant: 'He made a promise to help us and he broke it': Hurricane Sandy Victim pictured in embrace with Obama reveals her heartbreak at receiving standardized letter after his visit
When President Obama hugged a tearful New Jersey business owner after
Hurricane Sandy ravaged her home and livelihood, it was the image of
compassion, promise and hope.
But the victim in the photo, Donna Vanzant, has now revealed that the
president's promises to pour aid into the area were empty - and that, after
the hug, she merely received a form letter from him.
Obama visited the destroyed marina Ms Vanzant owns in Brigantine, New

German chancellor Angela Merkel courts international controversy by posing for photos alongside blacked-up children for annual 'Three Kings Day' celebrations
Fortunately for the CDU leader, the children visiting the Chancellery in
Berlin were not a political stunt but traditional carollers dressed up
as
the three wise men. Although the costumes of the children may appear
controversial, the blackened face of the young girl is part of the
Sternsinger, or star singer, tradition of Dreikönigstag, the Three

The dolphin snatchers: Mail investigation exposes vile trade where animals are sold for up to £100,000 each to aquariums where they suffer unimaginable cruelty
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT These barbaric scenes took place at Taiji on
the
south coast of Japan just before Christmas, during a hunting season when
fishermen 'harvest' dolphins to sell to aquariums. It is estimated for
every wild dolphin caught to be trained, around four times that number
