Crash between two Egyptian trains kills 3, injures dozens

crash in Fayoum on Saturday, when a train travelling south from Cairo hit

The 7th US Circuit Court of Appeals has thrown out a lawsuit by two US
whistleblowers, Donald Vance and Nathan Ertel, who were tortured by the US
military after coming forward with evidence of wrongdoing by the
contracting company they were working for.
The court ruled that US military commanders“enjoy broad immunity” in cases
of torture abroad and that the military chain of command “couldn’t be
responsible” just because detainee abuse crossed a legal boundary. The

Hey, I heard there were some elections...
Of course, each one mattered. If you're looking for something that was
particularly up in the air coming in, I'd probably go with the North Dakota
Senate seat in particular, and the +2 result for the Democrats in the
Senate overall; going in that was certainly plausible, so it's not a
last-minute shock or anything, but it easily could have been 53/47 or even
52/48.
On the other hand, if I had to pick one of the close Senate elections which
mattered the most, I'd have to go with Tammy Baldwin.

Cash-strapped member states have refused to cover the huge funding black

dismembered corpses we're actually there to venerate. We excise the

gasoline grew on Saturday as residents of Long Island, hit hard by
Superstorm Sandy, planned to a protest outside the headquarters of the
local utility company.
Residents said they would take to the streets for a second day outside the
Long Island Power Authority in Hicksville. There are still over 400,000
customers without power nearly two weeks after the storm, and more than
170,000 are on Long Island.

were militants intent on attacking American soldiers in Colombia.
