Some US 2012 Election Predictions (Updated)
Electoral Outcomes For obvious reasons, I’m much less confident of my
predictions in 2012 than in 2008. I think there’s a good chance that
Florida, Colorado, and Virginia might go the other way. North Carolina and
New Hampshire could as well. Regardless, it looks pretty likely that Obama
is going to win re-election. I’m betting

Hillary Clinton Aims To Rewrite History, Says Islamic Extremists Hijacked Syrian "Revolution"
*AFP Photo: Hillary Clinton speaking in Croatia on October 31, 2012. She
attempted to rewrite history and rebrand the Jihadist-dominated opposition
in Syria.*
The U. S. plan to overthrow the regime in Syria was drawn up before the
Arab Spring, so the discourse of the Arab Spring does not apply to Syria.
Attempting to use the popular appeal of the Arab Spring to put political
pressure on the Syrian regime is an act of irrationality and imperial
hubris. It's like squaring a circle.
Washington's "democracy and freedom" rhetoric does not serve the best
interests of the Syrian people... more »

HMRC chief blasted for 'failing to get to grips with tax avoidance' as she admits half of UK's 770 biggest firms funnel profits overseas
Half
of the biggest companies working in the UK have headquarters overseas,
many in low-tax regimes, it was revealed yesterday.
Britain’s most senior tax official made the admission as she was slammed
for ‘failing to get to grips with tax avoidance’ by an influential group
of
MPs.
It came as the Government launched a crackdown on multi-national giants
that slash their tax bills by using complex legal techniques to funnel
profits overseas.

Saudi confirms third case of newly discovered SARS-like virus
A Saudi citizen in the capital Riyadh is the world's third confirmed case
of a newly discovered SARS-related virus but he has now recovered from his
illness, the official Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The potentially deadly novel coronavirus is from the same family as SARS
but had only been confirmed in two previous cases: a 60-year-old Saudi man
who died earlier this year, and a man from Qatar who was treated in a
London hospital.

South Korea shuts two nuclear reactors
South
Korea was forced to shut down two nuclear reactors yesterday to
replace components that had not been properly vetted, a minister said,
warning of “unprecedented” power shortages to follow.
Knowledge Economy Minister Hong Suk-Woo said the “non-core” components
posed no safety threat and were unrelated to a string of systems
malfunctions at reactors this year that triggered calls for a safety
review.

Iran slams anti-nuclear weapons treaty as discriminatory
Discriminatory implementation of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT)
has left many countries feeling that being a party to the anti-atom bomb
pact hinders cooperation in the field atomic energy, Iran's U.N. ambassador

Western diplomats and analysts have long expressed concern that Iran might

bomb. North Korea withdrew from the treaty in 2003 and tested nuclear

Barking Up the Wrong Tree

then we've been clearing the debris. Following are a few photos taken by

This is the backyard at Bramblefields, which is almost as far west as you

what was hauled away.

Too Smart For Our Own Good
According to humans, the human brain is a miraculous organ. No other
species is even half as intelligent as we think we are. But we’re
seriously beating the planet, we’re not having fun, and everything is

picture.
Craig Dilworth circled humans. Modern society drove him nuts, because it
was so self-destructive. It simply made no sense, from the perspective of
the dominant worldview, which worshipped the most incredible organism in
the entire universe. How could a creature so brilliant act like this?

Max Keiser On Being Accused of Treason: "That dog don't hunt"

Of the many themes that Keiser returns to in his shows, one of the most
interesting and incendiary is the relationship between big business and
Congress. He has openly accused senior politicians of using investigations
into financial malpractice as a way of acquiring market information so as
to benefit themselves.

ISRAEL’S MASSIVE MILITARY FUEL PURCHASE OF 2010 REVISITED
In August 2010 I wrote about Israel’s massive military fuel purchase from
the US commenting that it was an extraordinary amount of fuel and that, by
virtue of the fact that it included huge quantities of JP-8 military jet
fuel, the entire order must have been military purposes. I also noted that
the order included large amounts of both diesel and gasoline. I surmised
then that this order may be for preparations for war against Iran – hence
the need for the jet fuel – and that, since Israel could not possibly
launch a ground offensive against Iran, the large amounts of diesel and
gas... more »

Matt's projection for 2012 election outcome: Obama Victory
*Reasons supporting this projection:*
+ The "silent majority", regardless if it benefits them or not, leans

+ While having lost some of his charisma among Americans, Obama still

Global Warming: "Why Seas are Rising Ahead of Predictions"
*"Why Seas are Rising Ahead of Predictions"*
by ScienceDaily
Sea levels are rising faster than expected from global warming, and
University of Colorado geologist Bill Hay has a good idea why. The last
official IPCC report in 2007 projected a global sea level rise between 0.2
and 0.5 meters by the year 2100. But current sea-level rise measurements
meet or exceed the high end of that range and suggest a rise of one meter
or more by the end of the century. "What's missing from the models used to
forecast sea-level rise are critical feedbacks that speed everything up,"
says Hay. He wi... more »

a 12x12 wood frame
chicken wire that is slightly larger than your frame opening
sand paper

a staple gun
pliers
The first think you need to do is pull out all the black picture hangers
on the back of your frame. Yo... more »
Steve Israel Won't Allow DCCC To Challenge Republican Committee Chairs Like Paul Ryan And Buck McKeon
I'll talk about DCCC corruption and complicity with the Republicans after
the election and in a more systematic way, although this particular theme--
about Israel opposing spending any money to challenge Republican leaders
and committee chairs is something we've gone over several times before.

This week’s Geopolitical News and Analysis will appear on November 7th,
after US election results are out.
We have heard the US military will be using hurricane Sandy as a reason to
postpone the election. Pentagon sources are also saying another storm is on
its way with the aim of continuing to disrupt activity in Washington D.C.
and New York.
The Bank of Japan has also been taken over and will soon convert most

*Pima County Circumvents It's Own Election Integrity Commission to Get a
Waiver that Removes Proper Audit of County Elections *
J.T. Waldron
A key document has surfaced in a recent lawsuit in Pima County, Arizona,
that suggests much more activity affecting the reliability of elections
took place in secret meetings with Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett.
When the 2011 revision of the state elections manual added a sentence
requiring presorting of early ballots by ... more »
Entrapment to be found only in the clearest of cases
*R. v. N.Y.,* 2012 ONCA 745, released today, makes clear that entrapment is
to be found only rarely:
[131] Entrapment evokes society's view "that there are inherent limits on
the power of the state to manipulate people and events for the purpose of
attaining the specific objective of obtaining convictions": Mack, at p.
941. However, it is also clear that a finding of entrapment is not to be
made lightly, and only in the clearest of cases. Lamer J. also observed in
Mack, at pp. 975-76, that:
More fundamentally, the claim of entrapment is a very serious allegation
against the state... more »

Four War Years
The sense I'm getting from the polls is that Obama is ahead but only just.
Two to three points seems to be the lead, a gap that can probably be easily
erased by voter suppression and minor tinkering with the electronic voting
system.
Eyebrows will be raised, sure, but that's now standard fare for any
election in the self-proclaimed, albeit undeserved *Greatest Democracy on
Earth* (TM).
Yet I'm far from sure that a Romney victory will be the worst thing for
America. It may in fact be what's needed to spark the sort of upheaval
without which the United States, and the world, would ... more »

If You Can't Lick 'Em...
What follows is the latest spam email, one that I've already received a few
times, and what follows below is my rejoinder. Last May, I'd started madly
blocking email addresses that had sent me spam, over 350 of them, in fact.
But by June it was painfully apparent that the volume of bullshit that kept
getting directed to my inbox was not diminishing in the least and that
malware programs were creating gibberish email addresses and sending out
spam faster than I could block them (Yahoo allows me to block just 500 of
them). So when I got this spam, something inside me just gave way and... more »

Damocles, Deflected
I know you've been worried about all the rich people who were forced to
evacuate their luxury condos when the crane on an even more luxurious
skyscraper in their neighborhood was ripped loose last week by Superstorm
Sandy. But this morning, a palpable sense of relief is wafting through the
plutosphere. The bothersome hunk of twisted metal dangling over many an
entitled head has finally been tamed. The Sword of Damocles has been
resheathed, to threaten again some other day. (Maybe in as little as two
days, when another nor'easter is forecast to whip on through.)

Libya helps bankroll Syrian rebels?
*UPDATED at the BOTTOM*
I find this very interesting....
Considering what entity is really in charge of Libya.
I'll give you a hint, it's not really the Libyan people.
Ask yourself why? Why would Libya do this? Libya is a country that needs to
be rebuilt so badly after NATO destroyed it, why would they send urgently
needed funds to so called Syrian rebels.
*It only makes sense if this money ostensibly from Libya is being directed
to Syria via NATO.*
The top financier of the Syrian opposition is no Arabian Peninsula oil
kingdom or cloak-and-dagger western spy outfit, *(yes, it is) * ... more »
