Lessons the GOP Learned from Adolph Hitler: the 'Big Lie' Called 911

by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy

Those still believing Bush's big 911 lie are of three types plus combinations: crooks, idiots, and liars! There was no fuselage, there was no airliner wreckage, there were no large titanium/steel alloy rotors each some 10 feet in diameter to be found at the Pentagon on the morning of 911. Yet --we are expected to believe the most evil, the most harmful fraud since Hitler coined the phrase: 'Big Lie'!

All this was inspired by the principle--which is quite true in itself--that in the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.

--Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf, Houghton Mifflin Co., Boston, MA, 1971, pgs. 231, 232

There was no airliner wreckage at the Pentagon --we are told --because a 757 airliner body 'vaporized' in the intense heat. Nevertheless, forensics experts claimed a 97 percent success rate identifying victims using DNA. Now --DNA is very fragile! The heat necessary to 'vaporize' an aluminum airliner body --some 11,000 degrees F --would have utterly destroyed testable DNA. The heat required to vaporize an aluminum airliner body is about 1000 degrees higher than the surface temperature of the sun itself! [See: NASA, Solar System Exploration]
The Bushco liars cannot have it both ways. If Bush were telling the truth about the airliner, then the casualty IDs are impossible. Bushco cannot claim to have ID'd victims and --at the same time --explain away the missing airliner wreckage by claiming it was victim to an extreme heat of mysterious, unknown origin.

Move to China; Cut Out the Middle Man
by Len Hart, The Existentialist Cowboy

If because your job has been out-sourced to China and you are reduced to shopping at Wal-Mart, you should consider a move to China to cut out the middle man! China is going to get your all but worthless dollars anyway by way of US retail outlet: Wal-Mart! And when the dollar is completely worthless, it 'won't matter anyhow'. We will all be living in Chinese made tents.

If because of GOP transfers of unearned wealth to the increasingly tiny elite of about one percent of the population, labor is unproductive or impoverished the productivity of the nation will decline and ultimately collapse.

If the poor can no longer afford decent housing or food it is because elites have bid up prices on commodities. But because conservative robber barons and huge corporations have consolidated control of markets, your threats of boycott are laughed at. If you can no longer afford decent housing, health care or food, you have most certainly fallen off the bottom rung. It is clear that big business doesn't care about your fate and because the GOP is owned, the GOP doesn't care either.
FDR :
The royalists of the economic order have conceded that political freedom was the business of the Government, but they have maintained that economic slavery was nobody's business. They granted that the Government could protect the citizen in his right to vote, but they denied that the Government could do anything to protect the citizen in his right to work and his right to live.
What's Wrong with the American Economy is Wealth and Income Inequities and the Dysfunctional Mentalities That Create Them

The proof of my assertion is the public record. Reagan's tax cut of 1982 was quickly followed by the nation's worst recession since the Great Depression, a recession of some 18 months characterized by record levels of unemployment and home losses. The economy contracted, people had less money to spend, many lost their homes and slept under bridges in 'boomtown' Houston. I know --I saw it. I was one of the lucky ones who somehow managed to keep a cozy home to sleep in. Luck! But for the grace of God go I! And no thanks to Unca Ronnie!

Reagan's best critics were found inside his regime, primarily, budget director David Stockman who blamed a "noisy faction of Republicans" for Reagan's infamous tax cut and the debacle that followed. Reagan might have achieved the prosperity that Keynes had predicted. That might have happened had his policies rewarded the working and middle classes instead of the rich and idle elites. Fact is --Ronnie was owned! The government is owned! The MIC is owned! We are owned! We are slaves to a system that may be beyond out ability to reform short of revolution.

Recent PostsA critical component of Obama’s Afghan strategy – separating local Afghans from Taliban insurgents and then building social and economic programs that create local loyalty to the central government – is being nullified because of inadequate numbers of Afghan police who are illiterate, untrained and deserting in droves, congressional and other experts say.

Speaking of the current Marine assault into the southern province of Helmand, an administration official said: “Material support and strong and continuous aid are essential to our progress.” Adding, “The Taliban are counting on the United States and its allies to be unable to sustain a costly and interminable war.”
"... how to talk about Iraq. Aspirations of a "quick political fix" and a speedy U.S. departure should be superseded by more realistic ambitions for a plodding but upward trajectory, buttressed by American political assistance and an expanding bilateral nonmilitary relationship. In private talks, the Obama administration should support the emergence of issues-based politics and electoral alliances -- and the public message should not relegate Iraqis and their challenges to simple sectarian or ethnic actors." The essence of the neocon delusion in the ME has always been the political science driven drivel that pronounces the old culture of the region to be dead or dying and the peoples of the Islamic World to be eagerly awaiting a "brave new world" in which Islamicate civilization and their age old national rivalries are a distant memory. The local politicians have been skilled in convincing the neocons that, they too, share this vision and ambition for themselves.

It was always hokum. It remains hokum. Having waited us out, the factional religious and ethnic politicans of Iraq are now taking advantage of our coming departure to figuratively go down to the Tigris to wash off the dye that has obscured the leopard's spots for a time.

The Iraqi Shia are not grateful for our having transfered power to them from the Sunni Arabs. Why should they be? We were eager to do it, and none more so than Meghan O'Sullivan, now ensconced at Harvard and awaiting a return to the West Wing. pl

Welcome Back to Pottersville

Desperate Times

I haven't been posting much lately, I know, because I've been busy getting my house in order for my fiancee's arrival. She's doing all the last minute checks and Houston Control is ready to clear her for takeoff.

But a quick check of my finances shows that her AAA membership hasn't been reinstated when we'd hoped because they've yet to deposit the check I'd sent them last week, according to my online bank statement (meaning she won't be covered during her 1355 mile trip). When they finally take out that $97, it'll leave me with insufficient funds to even pay my rent much less pay for food or any of my utilities and that's with my next unemployment check.

The Soylent Green Party Sez...
"Democrats are killing old people!"

What in an alternate non-Bizarro Universe would be laughed off as a tinfoil-hatted conspiracy theory smelling of Jack Kevorkian and evoking images of Terri Schiavo with "Nyuk nyuk nyuks" from coast to coast is actually gaining traction. So much traction, in fact, that the so-called "public option" that's at best a pitiful substitute for the single payer health care championed by Bernie Sanders and virtually no one else in Congress is losing traction at the same time and is basically on life support.

Chris Clarke at Coyote Crossing gives us a hilarious rendering of the Gettysburg Address if it was written by Sarah Palin. A must see. Sample:

I am all about America enduring, enduring into the future and beyond. And unfortunately, that is the road that America is finding itself on in this field, a battlefield, on the land border of the boundary we share with our great neighbor to the South. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. That’s a heck of a lot more than a whole lot of Senators and Congressmen and Representatives have done for us in Washington...

The Fed is Now Officially a Laughingstock

On July 21st, Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) was taking the testimony of Fed Chairman Bernard Bernanke and his inquiries focused on the Federal Reserve's inexplicable largesse to several foreign banks. At one point, Grayson, who already had a mischievous smile on his face, asked Bernanke,

Grayson: "Well, look at the next page of your report, the very next page has the U.S. dollar nominal exchange rate, which shows a 20 percent increase in the U.S. dollar nominal exchange rate at exactly the same time that you were handing out half a trillion dollars. You think that's a coincidence?"

Bernanke: "Yes."

Grayson: "Nyuk nyuk nyuk nyuk!"

Personally, I would've started laughing when Bernanke confessed to not knowing the history of the banking institution that he purports to head, such as not even knowing the year the Federal Reserve Act was passed (1913, one of Woodrow Wilson's greatest failures and one for which he'd profusely apologized).

Bernanke's insistence that the 20% jump in the dollar nominal exchange rate and the Fed simultaneously handing out well over half a trillion dollars without any apparent oversight or traceability being a coincidence should've made everyone in the chamber howl with laughter.

If Alan Greenspan didn't provide the White House with an indelible reason for abolishing the Fed and overturning the Federal Reserve Act, then Ben Bernanke is giving it to us.
Working beyond any binding oversight by Congress or the White House, the Fed essentially makes up the rules as it goes along and is answerable to no one, conducting its shady business in absolute secrecy and all because a corrupt and misguided Congress from 96 years ago said they could.

And the artificial depression that's been brought about by the Bilderberg Group and hastened by Obama and his economic policies, the same financial crisis that we were fooled into thinking was brought about by the subprime implosion instead of the thoroughly corrupt derivatives market, is equally dedicated to ultimately crashing our economy after a skillful series of dips and rises. So our government and Fed will look like heroes for a few years once we "pull out" of this depression. Otherwise, if one world government wasn't the ultimate goal, then why the fuck is the Federal Reserve, the ultimate manager of our nation's debt, handing out $3000 in credit to every kiwi in New Zealand when there are millions and millions of struggling US homeowners and small businesspeople who need it more desperately?

Bombshell: Bin Laden worked for US until 9/11

Source: Against All Enemies

Former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds dropped a bombshell on the Mike Malloy radio show, guest-hosted by Brad Friedman
In the interview, Sibel says that the US maintained ‘intimate relations’ with Bin Laden, and the Taliban, “all the way until that day of September 11.”

These ‘intimate relations’ included using Bin Laden for ‘operations’ in Central Asia, including Xinjiang, China. These ‘operations’ involved using al Qaeda and the Taliban in the same manner “as we did during the Afghan and Soviet conflict,” that is, fighting ‘enemies’ via proxies.

As Sibel has previously described, and as she reiterates in this latest interview, this process involved using Turkey (with assistance from ‘actors from Pakistan, and Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia’) as a proxy, which in turn used Bin Laden and the Taliban and others as a proxy terrorist army.

Control of Central Asia

The goals of the American ’statesmen’ directing these activities included control of Central Asia’s vast energy supplies and new markets for military products.

The Americans had a problem, though. They needed to keep their fingerprints off these operations to avoid a) popular revolt in Central Asia ( Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan), and b) serious repercussions from China and Russia. They found an ingenious solution: Use their puppet-state Turkey as a proxy, and appeal to both pan-Turkic and pan-Islam sensibilities.

. Eric Margolis, one of the best reporters in the West on matters of Central Asia, stated that the Uighurs in the training camps in Afghanistan up to 2001:

“were being trained by Bin Laden to go and fight the communist Chinese in Xinjiang, and this was not only with the knowledge, but with the support of the CIA, because they thought they might use them if war ever broke out with China.”

And also that:

“Afghanistan was not a hotbed of terrorism, these were commando groups, guerrilla groups, being trained for specific purposes in Central Asia.”

In a separate interview, Margolis said:

“That illustrates Henry Kissinger’s bon mot that the only thing more dangerous than being America’s enemy is being an ally, because these people were paid by the CIA, they were armed by the US, these Chinese Muslims from Xinjiang, the most-Western province.

The CIA was going to use them in the event of a war with China, or just to raise hell there, and they were trained and supported out of Afghanistan, some of them with Osama Bin Laden’s collaboration. The Americans were up to their ears with this.”

State Secrets

Sibel has famously been dubbed the most gagged woman in America, having the State Secrets Privilege imposed on her twice. Her 3.5 hour testimony to the 9/11 Commission has been entirely suppressed, reduced to a single footnote which refers readers to her classified testimony.

It is important to understand why: the US outsourced terror operations to al Qaeda and the Taliban for many years, promoting the Islamization of Central Asia in an attempt to personally profit off military sales as well as oil and gas concessions.

The silence by the US government on these matters is deafening. So, too, is the blowback.

I gave it another try because of a note from BlueGirlRedState in her piece about healthcare in the USA

It's pretty simple...I want you to have what I have (+)

Everyone knows that I am getting ready to do some traveling, and that I have a chronic pain condition that affects my quality of life if it is not managed appropriately, and I needed to get in a comprehensive visit and refills before leaving. My palliative care involves prescriptions for powerful, addictive narcotics that can only be prescribed on paper, not called in to the pharmacy, and each refill requires a new prescription. My doctor is competent and capable and responsible, and therefore I am seen regularly. I wouldn't trust a doctor who would prescribe those drugs without seeing me.

My healthcare is underwritten by taxpayers. I never see a bill. All of my care is rendered in the clinic tower that is attached to the hospital. I never have to hassle with an insurance company bean counter over a procedure and I have never had to deal with a denial. My doc orders a procedure and I go to that department and it is done. I have continuity of records because my chart follows me from department to department rather than each office maintaining it's own chart. I have a terrific relationship with the NP who does my yearly GYN exam and with the nurses who are in my internists office. He communicates with my orthopedist and together the three of us have developed a pain management strategy that will hopefully continue to be effective and allow me to put off the knee replacements until I am on the other side of fifty.

I want everyone to have the efficiency, security and peace of mind that I enjoy. The dollars that go toward my care are allocated efficiently because there is no redundant or repetitive testing and those involved in my care can communicate freely without running afoul of any privacy rules. It infuriates me that everyone doesn't have the same level of care. It infuriates me worse when anti-reform zealots denounce public health care. It saddens me that whatever reform we end up with, you aren't going to get what I have. You deserve it. But you aren't going to get it, because our congressional representatives are beholden to the insurance industry.

I didn't just go to the doctor yesterday. I talked to the people who work there. I also talked to someone at Amtrak for 25 minutes while I made my reservations and she was fired up about healthcare reform. So was the lady at the ticket counter at Union Station when I went to pick up my rail pass and tickets. So was the lady at the bus stop and the man I shared a seat with on the way home. Everyone gets it except the insurance companies and their bought and paid for congressional representatives.

And they are going on vacation starting today, leaving this vital task undone. If ever the time was nigh to get their fucking attention, it is now.
