but as this group's adware is malicious and currently prevalent (Facebook is a major source!!!) I'm posting a list of the related sites I've found so far - some are quite new. myway.com
I have been a member of myway.com for many years and have NEVER gotten any malware or virus from the website. I run malwarebytes , Avast, and the latest Firefox....I have no problems.
not spyware
I hate to inform you, but, there's really no spyware, adware or malware in any of the products listed above. I would know, I work for Mindspark, I've seen the source code. Don't confuse a required toolbar download and a homepage takeover to a crappy search engine with malware. I mean if you're going to relentlessly pursue IACCAP (which actually is quite reputable and has an impressive suite of websites), at least you should get your facts straight. IAC makes its money through legitimate business practices and acquisitions.
We don't track users, we don't serve popup ads (only once directly after toolbar download), and users have the option to uninstall the toolbar at any time with no adverse effects.
Most "spyware and adware
Most "spyware and adware removal software" mis-label mindspark as such. It's an on going battle that our product team continues to wrestle with. As I've said before, we have been cleared by McAfee as being spyware and adware free.
Unwanted software is not the same as adware, spyware or malware. Its fine to call it "unwanted software", which is the definition Colin and I have agreed on as the justification for adding it to Malware databases. but lets call it what it is and not misrepresent it.
Registry changes are required for the search assistant. But it's not serving ads or tracking, its taking over 404 pages and serving search results through MyWebSearch.

Cleaning the shungite chips
Briefly soak and stir 250g of shungite chips in 1 tsp of baking soda mixed with several cups of water. Don’t use soap. Rinse shungite chips very thoroughly under cool running water.
Making your first batch of shungite water
Place the well-rinsed shungite chips in a 2 litre glass or enamel container and fill with cold tap water. Use 2 liter of water for each 250g of shungite chips.
Let the water stand with the shungite chips for 24 hours. The container must be open to breathe during this process. A thin, natural fibre cloth can be used to cover the container to exclude dust and insects.
Using shungite-infused water
Pour the shungite-infused water into another lidded glass or ceramic container. This water is the finished water, ready for use. Refill the original shungite container with tap water to prepare a new batch.
Excellent as a hair rinse. Useful for pets, birds and plants.
Maintenance
Once a month, briefly re-soak and stir the shungite chips in the baking soda/water mix as described above. Then thoroughly rinse the shungite chips under running water. Put the chips in the sun for an hour to recharge. Sterilize the container at regular intervals. Replace the shungite chips with new chips approximately every 6 – 12 months, depending on the quality of the source water.
