"Newspapers reported this week that Governor Walker helped his
college-age son vote for the first time. Walker looked on as he
registered and then voted at their polling place in Wauwatosa for the
August 14 Senate primary. After the release of the GAB report, Governor
Walker appeared to walk back his support of tanking the law. “There is
no way I'm signing a bill that costs that kind of money," he said. It is
doubtful, however, if the bill's authors will abandon their plans."
WI Elections Board Says Ending Same-Day Registration Would Cost Over $5 Million | PR Watch
For almost 40 years Wisconsin law has provided for same-day voter
registration, a provision which greatly contributes to the state's
record of consistently high voter turnout. On November 6, 2012 in
Milwaukee alone 54,000 people were registered to vote at the polls. But
this Wisconsin tradition unex...

Thousands of Palestinians have attended a rare Hamas rally in the city
of Nablus in the Israeli-occupied West Bank celebrating the 25th
anniversary of the group's founding and its recent "victory" over Israel
in Gaza. The rally is the first time that the West Bank's ruling
Palestinian Authority (PA), which is dominated by Hamas rival Fatah, has
allowed such a gathering since 2007. |

Most Indonesians aware of climate change, but failing to take adaptive
measures
Nearly 90 percent of Indonesians in East Kalimantan and Central Java are
aware of climate change, reports a study published in Nature Climate
Change.
In a survey of 6,310 households over a two year period, Erin Bohensky of
Australia's CSIRO and colleagues found that the vast majority (82
percent) of respondents reported to have observed climate change, while
71 percent perceived it as a risk. However less than 40 percent said
they are adapting to its impacts.

I was recently told of an African tribe that does the most beautiful
thing.
When someone does something hurtful and wrong, they take the person to
the center of town, and the entire tribe comes and surrounds him. For
two days they’ll tell the man every good thing he has ever done.
The tribe believes that every human being comes into the world as GOOD,
each of us desiring safety, love, peace, happiness. But sometimes in the
pursuit of those things people make mistakes. The community sees
misdeeds as a cry for help.
They band together for the sake of their fellow man to hold him up, to
reconnect him with his true Nature, to remind him who he really is,
until he fully remembers the truth from which he'd temporarily been
disconnected: "I AM GOOD".

Alberta queue jumping inquiry hears senior AHS managers were asked to keep tabs on VIPs
Former Capital Health CEO Sheila Weatherill required senior
managers to “keep tabs” on prominent people, donors and VIPs who came in
for care in hospitals and emergency rooms, the provincial inquiry into
queue jumping heard Thursday. Brigitte McDonough, former director of
clinical care, was among senior managers who took turns taking nightly
calls at the University of Alberta Hospital. She said she regularly
received calls from Weatherill’s office — about one every two months —
telling them that a VIP, at times a donor to the hospital system, was in
the hospital and asked the manager to check

Daily soft drink serving boosts aggressive prostate cancer risk
by 40 percent
Thursday, December 13, 2012 by: John Phillip
(NaturalNews) Nearly one-quarter of a million men will be diagnosed with
some stage of prostate cancer this year in the U.S., and many will
suffer the unnecessary consequences of invasive treatment techniques
that cut, irradiate and poison tumor cells in an effort to control the
illness. In a manner similar to many other types of cancer, prostate
cancer incidence is closely related to dietary and lifestyle practices
over the course of many years and decades of life. New re

As partisans sift through data from the 2012 presidential elections,
the impact of our current Electoral College rules is getting particular
scrutiny, as is the potential impact of changing those rules before the

Given that the Constitution gives states plenary authority over how to
allocate their electors, considering changes to those rules is not an
idle question. Even elimina

Reindeer For Rent, v2.0
Last holiday season I offered the young’un cat to Santa Claus as a

though it must be said that now his rates have gone up.
As can be seen in the photo below, the young’un cat’s eyes remain

space or time. Paired with Rudolph, there at the head of the team
