* How Randi Weingarten is actually undermining trust in public schools* In Randi Weingarten’s florid telling, far-right activists are resorting to unchecked propaganda and “Big Lies” to mislead parents, undermine trust in teachers and financially cripple public schools in hope of replacing them with a universal, unregulated voucher system. In a breathless essay for Time magazine, Weingarten, head of the nation’s second-largest teachers union, blames “dark money-funded extremists” for an orchestrated campaign to weaken public education, “undermining our democracy and further eroding... read more
BC releases proposed plan for decolonized police force
OK now it makes sense. Remember how I thought it was suspicious that the BC government and the fake liberal news were considering forming a provincial police force after giving Doug McCallum such a hard time for doing the same thing in Surrey? Well now we know why. The True North is reporting that "A special committee tasked with revamping policing in British Columbia has recommended the province legislate decolonization and anti-racism into policing." Racism is illegal. It is a violation of the Canadian charter of rights so what do they really mean and what do they mean by decolo... read more
"Slaughterbots: Autonomous Chinese Drone Swarm Flies Through Forest While Hunting For Humans"
*"Slaughterbots: Autonomous Chinese Drone Swarm* * Flies **Through Forest While Hunting For Humans"* by Tyler Durden A swarm of micro-drones autonomously navigated a dense bamboo forest in China without GPS, able to avoid trees, branches, and brush. The incredible footage suggests these drones could one day be used for search and rescue efforts or even put to sinister use: hunting humans. Chinese scientists from Zhejiang University published a report and footage of ten lightweight drones maneuvering at speed through a forest. The technology behind the drones autonomously navigates t... read more

SNC-Lavalin to pay $30M for bridge bribes - double dip
The Toronto Star is reporting that "SNC-Lavalin Inc. says it will pay Quebec nearly $30 million over three years to settle criminal bribery charges stemming from bridge work in Montreal." "The charges against SNC-Lavalin and SNC-Lavalin International related to events that occurred between 1997 and 2004 in connection with the Jacques Cartier Bridge deck rehabilitation project between Montreal and Longueuil." OK let me get this right. SNC Sleazebags bribed the government to get the contract to repair a bridge and now they have to pay the government another bribe, I mean fine. SN... read more
Afghan Taliban Orders Women To Wear The Burqa In Public
*The Guardian*:* Taliban order all Afghan women to cover their faces in public* *Decree forces male relatives to police law by making them liable to fines or prison for breaches * The Taliban have ordered all women to cover their faces in public in Afghanistan, the latest sweeping restriction by a government that has taken away women’s right to travel long distances alone, work outside healthcare or education, and receive a secondary education. In a cruel twist, the decree makes women’s relatives and employers the enforcers. If their faces are seen in public, their male “gua... read more

the Unformed cannot coalesce as an integral whole when bombarded
Understand the meaning of the soul that is a castaway, that has been cast out by its own self-destruction of the womb of the Cosmic Virgin. Thus, beloved, there is nothing that can separate you from the love of Mother and, through Her, of the Divine Father except some knot of inner conflict, some schism or anger. Beloved, the sword of Astrea and of my legions is able to cut you free in this hour. A crushingly powerful legal case against censorship has now been presented.
Eric Zuesse The Biden Administration’s active backing of censorship by America’s giant social-media corporations was legally challenged on May 5th in what will be a landmark case that will rock the United States, and that could even transform censorship law around the world. Its first-stage legal venue is the U.S. District Court for the Western […] read more

Washington Examiner: Three Arizona parents are suing their children's district for allegedly compiling personal information in a "secret dossier" aimed at intimidating them. The dossier was intended "to silence and punish dissenting voices and frighten away other potential speakers who might dare express an opposing point of view" and included information on at least 47 parents who spoke out against policies at school board meetings, according to the lawsuit, which seeks general, special, consequential, and punitive damages in amounts to be proven at trial. “To some, the outline of the open cluster of stars M6 resembles a butterfly. M6, also known as NGC 6405, spans about 20 light-years and lies about 2,000 light years distant. M6 can best be seen in a dark sky with binoculars towards the constellation of Scorpius, coving about as much of the sky as the full moon. Like other open clusters, M6 is composed predominantly of young blue stars, although the brightest star is nearly orange. M6 is estimated to be about 100 million years old. Determining the distance to clusters like M6 helps astronomers calibrate the distance scale of the unive... read more

How California made itself energy poor
Rick Moran: Incredibly, California is warning that unless it can find more power, the state will be unable to keep the lights on this summer if heatwaves, wildfires, and other extreme weather events happen. It’s incredible when you consider that California, at one time, had five working nuclear power plants. Now they have one. The state used to have 242,000 oil wells. They now have a little more than half that number. The state sits on a mountain of coal. It has effectively banned hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, to extract oil from hard-to-drill places. It has plenty of “ren... read more

Don't worry, Covid hasn't put me down for the count. The good news is I'm much better and hoping its reputation for tricksy curveballs don't throw me off my fairly linear path to complete recovery. That said, even though I'm starting to feel more or less normal today I got hit with a wave of fatigue. Not ideal when you're on a promise to write two articles about the local election results.
