Sunday morning music
It's a sad Sunday Morning Music for me today, because yesterday I learned that Judith Durham, lead singer of The Seekers during their heyday in the 1960's, died on Friday. Her voice was extraordinary, but so was her life in general, in so many ways. I grew up with The Seekers' music, and it's been an important strand of my musical memories and tastes ever since. A couple of decades ago, a compendium of every single Seekers song was released in a five-CD boxed set, and I bought it at once. It remains a treasured part of my music library. In memory of Judith Durham and The ... read more

Russia's nuclear threat inside Ukraine
ISW: Russian and Ukrainian forces traded accusations of dangerous shelling at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) on August 6 continuing the exchange of accusations ISW reported on August 5.[1] ISW cannot independently determine which party is responsible for the incident. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the alleged Russian shelling as an "open, brazen crime” and “an act of terror.”[2] He called on the international community to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism and to sanction Russia’s nuclear industry. [3] Both sides claim... read more

Democrats have failed to properly respond to gain of function threat
Washington Examiner: ... Despite the clear risks that gain-of-function research creates, Ebright conceded that there are benefits as well. “I believe that enhancing oversight of the research is the more effective and more prudent strategy than simply banning it,” he said. That oversight, however, was not present when National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci *gave EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak $3.7 million* to study “the risk of future coronavirus emergence” in China. From that grant, $600,000 made it to the Wuhan Institute of ... read more

Report Menstural problems after covid vaccines "could potentially have catastrophic effects on human reproduction"
From Zerohedge “The significant and dramatic changes in menstrual patterns occurring after COVID-19 vaccines should not be marginalized. It is indicative of major adverse effects on women of reproductive age. The stakeholders claimed that the vaccine would remain at the injection site in the deltoid muscle. This was misinformation. The lipid nanoparticles (LNP’s) are now known to be distributed throughout the entire body and to be concentrated in the ovaries, according to at least two studies. \ Void is unfruitful energy. The alchemist must develop a sense of the value of time and space and the opportunity to manipulate both. Freedom is won by quest and conquest but mainly by the conquest of the finite self. True mastery of the finite comes through indrawing love, the compelling, almost magnetic heartcall of the soul to its divine Source. Only the great inflow of cosmic light of God can release the soul from the imprisoning shadows of its human creation. Summon then the purity of purpose which will make your creative design good; relentlessly challenge base elements which ... read more

One Good Thing: A food memoir about love, grief, and lockdown
*The Year of Miracles* by Ella Risbridger. | Elisa Cunningham In The Year of Miracles, Ella Risbridger cooks through the end of the world. British journalist Ella Risbridger’s new food memoir *The Year of Miracles* was not, she informs us in her first sentence, “meant to be” a book about grief. It was meant to be a cheerful little book about hosting dinner parties, a happy follow-up to Risbridger’s 2019 hit *Midnight Chicken*, about how she cooked as a way of dealing with her depression. “But what can you do?” Risbridger goes on. Grief “gets into everything.” Part of the charm of ... read more
