Were Facebook and Twitter Consistent in Labeling Misleading Posts During the 2020 Election?
An official Twitter account announces that the company has applied a
content label to a tweet from Pres. Donald Trump on Aug. 24 2020. Photo

Editor’s Note: *To fight election-related misinformation, social media
platforms often apply labels that let users know the information from a
post is misleading in some way. Samantha Bradshaw of American University
and Shelby Grossman of the Stanford Internet Observatory explore whether
two key platforms, Facebook and Twitter, were internally consistent in how
they applied their labels during the 2020 presidential election. ... read more

Walking while old
Can you hear me breathing hard? We were in church (outside in the park)
from 8:30-9:30 and then eating with friend at the Patio restaurant until
about 10:15. Then a walk home, change into cooler clothing, and out again
for a short walk on Oak and Lynn before the day heats up. I think it's
supposed to be high 80s. I'm using my smartphone to track, count and
analyze my walking. Which means I have to keep it with me, either holding
it or putting it in my pocket. I rarely have made a phone call, but use it

The wrenching grief of many Russian families is buried beneath the

But it is now at the center of a dispute between the tribe and FTSE 100
