Korea (Photo credit: watchsmart)panel discussion on web standards in Korea (Photo credit: Gen Kanai)US faces sanctions dilemma in East Asia
In June, on top of pressure from Washington to import less oil from Iran, South Korea reduced exports to Iran to avoid payment defaults resulting from an overall deficit in the Iranian export market. [3] Therefore, even if South Korea were not participating in the sanctions regime, a significant loss of faith in Iran's ability to pay for imports would have facilitated Washington's desired objective of isolating Tehran from the international market.
( There's irony for you. Iran loses its ability to pay for imports as Washington and London continue to selectively dishonour IOUs on deposit or any financial budgetary constraint....except when screwing their young and poor. )
Considering how the dispute between Iran and the United States is destabilizing the international oil market, the sanctions come as an unwelcome obstacle to South Korea and Japan's (and many others') drive towards economic recovery and growth. At the same time, Seoul and Tokyo's willingness to find ways to continue purchasing oil and transacting goods with Iran undermines Washington's sanctions-based approach towards denuclearizing the Middle East country.
To top it off, it is not clear whether Iran would actually surrender its nuclear program because it faces increasing economic pressure. As the New York Times has noted, this may be the most comprehensive economic sanctions regime that the US initiated since imposing sanctions on raw materials going to Imperial Japan in the 1930s and '40s, which of course hastened the start of the Pacific War.

New Research Casts Doubt on Pasteurization Techniques For Milk
Pasteurization destroys enzymes, diminishesvitamin content, denatures fragile milk proteins, destroys vitamins C, B12 and B6, kills beneficial bacteria, promotes pathogens and is associated with allergies, increased tooth decay, colic in infants, growth problems in children, osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease and cancer.
The primary claim by the food industry: As the world's population climbs past 7 billion, the sustainable production and distribution of food is balanced against the need to ensure its chemical and microbiological safety. Scientists believe they must irradiate, pasteurize and sterilize all foods to keep the public safe.
( Let's not do what works - but deprive the world of nutrition....which is not only not an added feature...but is removed so as to create Not Food )

TORONTO: Dairy farmer Michael Schmidt will return to court on Thursday, July 26, 2012 seeking leave from the Ontario Court of Appeal to appeal his convictions on 13 counts relating to the sale and distribution of raw (unpasteurized) milk.
REAL MILK in BC
I read the Milk Industry Act of British Columbia, as it stood from 1955 'til 1996. Turns out the original Act had sections by which a farm could be certified to sell raw milk to the Public. In his Royal Commission in to the marketing of milk Commissioner J V Clyne touched on the controversy over the health aspects of raw milk versus Pasteur-ized. He recommended that all milk which was to be offered for sale be pasteurized. But he said that there must always be a way for those who want raw milk to get it. Twice I've asked the Milk Marketing Board for the protocol to apply for such Certification. They just blew me off
Raw milk can be obtained just over the US border and brought back into Canada, quite legally.
When I spoke with the Canada Customs Agency a while ago about regulations, I was told that one may bring $20 worth or twenty kilograms of dairy products per day in to Canada unrestricted, as 'groceries'. No duty

As explained below, unless the law is changed so that British Columbians choose their own food without interference from an ill-informed, meddling government, there is the distinct possibility of a Constitutional Challenge to the law which outlaws commerce in raw milk. Bacteria is not the Problem
Calling bacteria the food problem is an intentional misdirection and a way for government/industry to gain control of our food.
the CDC and health departments base their statistics about raw-milk borne disease on surveys not science. That should have been obvious when it could have been verified that Organic Pasture's milk did not cause those children's illnesses because there was none of that bacteria in the milk. Bacteria in a calf that does not produce milk, and the fact that that bacteria does not survive airborne, should be enough facts to demonstrate that the illnesses were not caused by the raw milk they consumed but something else
Raw milk is condemned by accusations - not science but surveys and statistics.

Meanwhile use of toxins - dilute poisons - are presented as an alternative to natural process in which we evolved to survive via killing wildlife advertised as 'germs'. Um. Toxins are regulated hazards - not health improvement measures. That's some 'alternative.' )

"There is absolutely no evidence to support the contention that raw milk is more nutritious than pasteurized milk." "There is no scientific evidence that raw milk makes you more resistant to disease."
"There is no scientific evidence that raw milk better promotes the development of teeth."
Each of those is demonstrably false. I find it appalling that government "experts" on health are unaware of the work of Weston A. Price, Pottinger and Steinman who did some of the basic research in human nutrition, particularly, teeth. In light of their work, and many more scientific studies since, your official statments are utter nonsense.Herbert Spencer said
