The collapse of the New Zealand health system
Or is it being collapsed? Seemorerocks Dedicated to the dedicated nurses, midwives and ambulance staff and to mandated practitioners. Friday Follies
As if there weren’t enough follies during the course of a regular week, we’re exploring them on a Friday. Not your average insurance claim!
This may be the weirdest personal injury insurance claim I've yet come across. The Missouri Court of Appeals ruled that insurance giant Geico had to pay $5.2 million in damages to a woman after she was infected with Human Papilloma Virus while engaging in intimate activities in someone else’s insured personal vehicle. The claim was initiated in February of 2021 after the woman learned she had contracted HPV from an infected sexual partner who knew he was infected, but did not disclose his status. Because the incident which infected her and caused injury occurred in the partne... read more

The sheer feableness of the police response demands an answer, but no one comes forward. Non-tilting cyclorotor drone boasts unique abilities
This is an initial test bed for what can be novel tech. It is really easy to build a drone that does what a heliocopter does so well. Yet the small scale and access to multiple thrusters must allow for a wide variety of iterations and that ultimately means increasing point stability. That is importat because real robust use depends on just that. We will soon be joining all this with robot tech and grabbing arms as well. Now imagine lifting up to a complex device, grabing on securely and then applying real torque to remove and replace a device in place. We actually need this c... read more
Angry 'Female Fairy' Approaches Southeast Texas Women
Our eye witness reports have given us knowledge of a small humanoid, possibly a sloth or alternately a primate that is also demonstrating the ability to project images. Obviously images are maintained through the generations. By obvious extension, projecting the image of what we see as a fairy that is within that e... read more

* NYC public schools set to lose $215M from budget cuts, hurting hope for smaller class sizes* New York City principals and advocates fear that school budget cuts to the tune of $215 million will make it impossible to afford smaller class sizes next year — just as a bill in Albany has made that reform a priority. Slashed public school budgets have raised worries about how to pay for new teachers — and even retain current staff — in order to comply with class size caps recently passed by the state legislature. “Class sizes will inevitably increase if these devastating cuts are ena... read more
