"Let Us Count the Ways"
*"Let Us Count the Ways"*

"What America really wants to know is: after those months of “family
leave,” did Pete Buttigieg get the hang of lactating? Hey, if sexuality is
just a “social construct,” then the functions of sexuality must be
teachable. So now Pete can move on to ovulation lessons and become the
“birthing person” of his dreams. Pete’s dreams are America’s dreams, you
see.
In the meantime, though, America has a little transportation problem that a
Secretary of Transportation might look into if he wasn’t so busy performing
a gender reeducation parable for ... read more

"A Danger To Ourselves..."
"Humanity today is like a waking dreamer, caught between the fantasies of
sleep and the chaos of the real world. The mind seeks but cannot find the
precise place and hour. We have created a Star Wars civilization, with
Stone Age emotions, medieval institutions, and godlike technology. We
thrash about. We are terribly confused by the mere fact of our existence,
and a danger to ourselves and to the rest of life."

Coming Back From Near Death: A True Survival TaleA number of readers have kindly written to ask how my recovery is coming

June. I came very near to death, and I knew it. I got so weak that I
realized one day that if I simply ate and drank nothing more, that I would
peacefully die within 48 hours.
But when I awoke the next morning I noticed that I felt a tiny little
increment better. To the present time, I continue incrementally improving,
day by day.
It has been a real slog. I have exhibited a long list of symptoms, which I

Bush administration officials during the run-up to the Iraq War, he exuded
confidence about his ability to get the United Nations to sign off on a

Why the U.S. Military is Required to Buy American-Made Firearms
*Peter Suciu*
*U.S. Military, United States*
The "Buy America Act" of 1933 still requires small arms for the military to
be produced within the United States.
Both the Union and Confederate armies utilized large numbers of the
British-made Enfield Pattern 1853 rifle-musket during the Civil War. In
fact, it was the second most common infantry weapon in the war, surpassed
only by the Springfield Model 1861 rifled-musket. It marked the only time
in U.S. military history that a large number of American soldiers had to
rely on a foreign-made weapon.
Just three decades later there was... read more
