Minister directs staff to solve MS mother's dilemma

The MS Society says the case highlights a gap in service that many with MS struggle with in Alberta.

“People would qualify for something like AISH, which is one government department but there wouldn’t be something for their kids which would probably fall under another government department,” says Darrel Gregory of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, “And so that’s where the gaps lay that’s where we run into problems like this because we’re not working together to solve the unique problems of somebody who has MS.”

Missed Lessons From The Deepwater Horizon Disaster

in April of 2010, the worst environmental disaster in US history has proven that not ONE lesson was learned from Exxon-Valdez, and that no research has been done to provide a safety net to protect the environment and the people from such impact.

Even the 1.8 million gallons of Corexit dispersant, added to the 4.9 million barrels of oil were met with unknowns by the government charged as stewards of our environment and our people, leaving them to scramble for lame excuses and half-truths against unknowns never researched or explored relative to toxicity or health impacts as a result of the massive misuse of this product - a product tied right back to the perpetrator of the disaster, BP.

( Nah. Dick Cheney and remission of resource depletion tax on deepwater drilling past safe limits of technology sparked disaster and ensure worse to come. What else could explain hydrofracking a volcano in an area of the Gulf of Mexico littered with flawed cementing of 'capped' wells ? What can go right !? )
