Congressional Candidate Tomas Ramos Creates First Ever Technological HUB Inside of A NYCHA Community Center

DownWithTyranny at DownWithTyranny! - 16 hours ago
*-by Tomas Ramoscandidate for Congress, NY-15* July 2016, that was the first time that I entered Bronx River Community Center-- while I was excited about the prospects of being a community educator and organizer, little did I realize that this moment would alter the rest of my life. As I toured the center, I was in awe of this beautiful space that was located in the middle of one of the largest public housing developments in the Bronx. I had an immediate vision, to combine my interest and love of technology to transform the center itself. I envisioned a technological hub that wou... more »

Perhaps we need a Lemon Law for the "woke" news media?

Peter at Bayou Renaissance Man - 16 hours ago
Many states in the USA have so-called "Lemon Laws". These provide that if a consumer item (typically a car, etc.) fails to meet normal standards of quality and performance, the purchaser can return it to the vendor for a more satisfactory replacement or a full refund. After this public display of scorn and derision by CNN pundit Don Lemon and his guests (frequent CNN contributor Wajahat Ali and former Republican strategist Rick Wilson) the other night, perhaps we need to expand Lemon Laws to deal with his ilk, too. Mr. Lemon tried to defend himself and his guests last night, b... more »

This is hardly an ideal system when other social organizing principles happen to be at work. In fact it is a mechanism to allow a natural majority to completely suppress all minorities such as Indians which has had plenty of historic application. This is why States often became centers for a specific flavor of social organization and this allowed politicians to then protect specific minorities. The population is not homogeneous, nor does it want to be. Thus the need for the tools we have at the least. Now i also propose the advent of the Natural Community and the rule of Twel... more »
