“We’re all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” - Oscar Wilde “It must be borne in mind that the tragedy of life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach. It isn’t a calamity to die with dreams unfulfilled, but it is a calamity not to dream. It is not a disaster to be unable to capture your ideal, but it is a disaster to have no ideal to capture. It is not a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for. Not failure, but low aim is a sin.” - Benjamin E. Mayes

"He does not believe who does not live according to his belief." - Thomas Fuller Isn't it curious how so many people, especially politicians, "talk the talk", and how so very, very few actually walk it? I suppose that's because words are cheap and easy, actions aren't. Real easy to run one's mouth, not so easy to actually do something, is it? - CP ○ Creedence Clearwater Revival , “Fortunate Son” - http://www.youtube.com/

It’s happening again

Norma at Collecting My Thoughts - 10 hours ago
Back in the 1950s there was another woman who made sexual allegations that had no corroboration--no one saw or heard anything. She recanted at the end of her life, but Emmett Till had long been dead. Tortured to death. I have no way to prove it, but I'm guessing if his murderers ever voted, it was for Democrats. Now they're doing it again. Today you don't have to be black to be accused of sexual misconduct for political reasons, just a white male. Toxic masculinity and white supremacy -- that's the Marxist-feminist rant. Ladies, guard your sons and husbands. They might be next. ... more »

China's 'Digital Dictatorship'...And Ours
