* My column in BusinessWorld, August 13, 2020. For countries and economies that have GDP data for second quarter (Q2) 2020 so far, the Philippines has had the deepest contraction of -16.5% in Asia. The same virus that affected all countries in the continent has produced very different results in economic performance — Why? Indian Health Service purchased 1 million substandard surgical masks from a former White House chief of staff, and now won't respond to a freedom of information request By Brenda Norrell Censored News A lawsuit has been filed to obtain the records related to the substandard surgical masks that were purchased by Indian Health Service from a former White House chief of staff.
( Bit of a tempest in a teapot here. Surgical masks have zero statistical analysis showing they work. Mind. ear loop masks have no medical application - and N95s do not filter output. It is going to be difficult ( o.k. impossible)  to show filtering helps when healthy people use masks.)
