The Fluoridation Trial: Science 4, EPA 0

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 18 hours ago
Flouride has medical use, but as a one time event. It is very importat as a gel used to harden teeth enamal. Yet once used, problem solved and all the rest is removed by hte body. Just like would happen in nature. None of this supports chronic exposure in our drinking water and there it certainly fails. . We also get it in our toothpastes and this is likely safevenough as most is washed out. Again it is useful as a surface application. animals chew appropriate rocks for a reason. *The Fluoridation Trial: Science 4, EPA 0* *JUNE 12, 2020* *By Rick North, FluorideAlert.... more »

The Death of Liberal Cities in a Post Riot Economy!!! with steve turley

arclein at Terra Forming Terra - 18 hours ago
What no one understands is that all the economic drivers of the city have been neutralized by technology. This has never been understood, but it has always been about big power plants, communication systems and transport been able to distribute close to the population. Now power is getting cheaper, all comms are cheap and food is local with cheaper transport. The city is still a bargain if you live there and do not use a car. THe point is that with a car now becoming cheaper, it makes depending on a city far less necesasary. All that means that the 'CITY' is no longer the be ... more »

REUTERS/Marco Bello] This month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics included a note that unemployment rate would have been about 3 percentage points higher—16.3% instead of the reported 13.3%—were it not for a “misclassification error.” The unemployment figures for May have surprised economists, who were expecting a significant increase in the unemployment rate and 7.5 million ... more »

Can We Please Stop Talking About a Second Wave of COVID-19?

Jeremy Rossman at The National Interest - 19 hours ago
*Jeremy Rossman* *Health, * The first wave hasn’t ended. Lockdown is easing. People are returning to work and shops are lifting their shutters. But we don’t have a vaccine and we’re a long way from achieving herd immunity – so this new-found freedom is tainted with fear: fear of a second wave of infections. Indeed, people are already talking about a “second wave” hitting China and Iran. But the concept of a second wave is flawed and creates dangerous misconceptions about the pandemic. The idea of a second wave stems from the flawed comparison with the seasonality of the flu vir... more »
