Imagine my surprise when I discovered that *F**k Anxiety* was actually a book title. I checked it out last week, it's actually rather well done, especially the audiobook version read by the author, Robert Duff. I've dealt with Generalized Anxiety Disorder for the past 12 or 13 years. I've not had a horrible case of it - even when it's at its worse I manage to still perform well at work, maintain hobbies, etc. Every once in a while it decides it wants to take another try at kicking my ass and over the past month or so it's decided to make another run at making my life miserable. People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them that there are multiple cases saying a noose at work does not equal actionable race discrimination. Well, here's another one. This case was shocking even to me because coworkers testified that there had been multiple instances of nooses hung in this workplace. Plus, the employee claimed other instances of being treated differently than non-black employees. There were over 5,000 casualties reported in Iraq in October 2016. That was the second highest amount of the year. The large number of dead and wounded was largely due to a huge number of executions by the Islamic State as it lost ground during the Mosul campaign. There were 586 incidents recorded in October 2016. That was roughly in line with the 573 in September and 574 in August. The theme building around David Cunliffe’s departure is that he was a disaster as a leader, unpopular with caucus and colleagues, a fake and a phony – all true – but despite that, say the eulogists, he was still a brilliant man who did wonders for telecommunications*.
