A Guest Post From Jesse Myerson: The Political Revolution: Where From Here?
*Beyond Bernie, What?* Since mid-April, when Hillary Clinton handily won the New York primary, variations on that question have animated discussions all over the country among activists, Sen. Sanders’ detractors as well as his supporters, who recognize that his run’s successes present an opportunity. Attending that opportunity, however, comes a burden. The political terrain opened up by social movements over the last five years demands the formation of a politicized constituency to inhabit it, and the Sanders campaign hinted at such a project’s near-term viability. Developing a s... more »
We Must Support One Another
The Grand March for Life and Peace concluded last night with a rousing rally in Jeju City along the sea wall (that reminds one of the Malecón in Havana). As our east team met the west team in the center of the city each side carried one of two large banners depicting wooden totems that now stand in front of the peace center in Gangjeong village. The two banners were brought into the busy traffic clogged intersection and symbolically joined. From there the two merged teams walked the last few miles to the rally site. The totem banners were erected onto the large stage and as da... more »
#RPGaDAY 2016 Day 6: Most amazing thing a game group did for their community
That's a bit of an odd question - my inclination in some ways would be to say "nothing". In a sense it sounds a bit like asking what you and your racquetball partner at work did for your community. As far as my own gaming group, contributions for the community are at an individual level. I know for myself I make certain to give to a number of charities that I believe in and I've gamed with a number of generous people. I also appreciate the fact that Bundle of Holding puts a portion of their income into a charity of the choice of those who made the games they offer. For example, St... more »

Great New Article From John Kaminski: Bad Crowd
I have come under a bit of flak over the last while from not only many commentators, but even those who I do respect in the real truth movement... It all stems from my stance that this upcoming November 8th US Presidential election is actually a vote between a candidate that would plunge the United States into never ending war, and the other one at least delaying such a war and instead possibly trying to do business instead... Yes, the choice this coming November for Americans is between the mass murdering freak of nature, the demonic Jew butt kissing Hillary "Killary" Clinton, and ... more »

What If Trump’s Candidacy Is Over By Halloween? Here Are A Few Replacement Kooks Most Republicans Can Probably Get Behind.

Was The U.S. - NATO Libyan Intervention A Failure?
*Shadi Hamid, VOX:* *Everyone says the Libya intervention was a failure. They’re wrong.* Libya and the 2011 NATO intervention there have become synonymous with failure, disaster, and the Middle East being a "shit show" (to use President Obama’s colorful descriptor). It has perhaps never been more important to question this prevailing wisdom, because how we interpret Libya affects how we interpret Syria and, importantly, how we assess Obama’s foreign policy legacy. Of course, Libya, as anyone can see, is a mess, and Americans are reasonably asking if the intervention was a mistake... more »

"Hate crime" is sick
"Hate crime", as a crime in state statutes, is a feature of a totalitarian society. Democratic societies have only regular crimes and a strong presumption of innocence until proven guilty, with no thought or expression crimes. *"A Big Got Damned Difference"* by Eric Peters "A reader– a Libertarian friend– chastises me for supporting Trump over Hillary; for supporting any candidate who isn’t a principled Libertarian. I thought some of you might be interested in a principled Libertarian’s thoughts on this business: Dear X – Here’s a stark difference to consider: Hillary is a *murderer*. A *mass* murderer. By proxy, yes– but a murderer, nonetheless. *Eager* to have people killed. Arguably, more guilty of murder than Julius Streicher– who was hanged for merely inciting murderous hatred. The Economy: “Musical Chairs”
*“Musical Chairs”* by Jeff Thomas “You’re familiar with the children’s game of musical chairs. Ten children walk around nine chairs whilst listening to music. When the music stops, each must quickly find a chair and sit in it. One child is out of luck and is out of the game. Then a chair is removed and the nine remaining children walk around the eight remaining chairs, waiting for the music to stop again. Economics is a bit like musical chairs. In a recession, the economy takes a hit and there are some casualties. Some players fail to get a chair in time and are out of the game. Th... more »

*"Weekly News Wrap-Up 8/5/2016"* By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com "The mainstream media (MSM) and the Democrat Party would like you to think it is the Republicans in full panic mode, but it is their party that’s freaking out. The first tip comes from the MSM that is “going to war against Trump” and acting like the true political hacks they are. Journalism is dead at the MSM, and they are willing to destroy their businesses to stop the outsider. The Economy: "What’s Coming Is Going to Be a Mess"
*“What’s Coming Is Going to Be a Mess”, Introduction* by Michael Covel “Talk to the average Joe on the street and he’ll tell you the world is coming undone… And he’s right. There’s widespread social unrest… rampant institutional corruption… record numbers of unemployed… pandemic violence and terrorism… and historic levels of global debt that can never be repaid. If stock markets were not at nominal all-time highs, everyone would believe that events are spiraling out of control. Yet even with stocks at highs, people know there’s something terribly wrong… and they can’t seem to put t... more »

Wrapping My Brain Around Gumshoe
On my list of games to try at some point is some game from the Gumshoe family of RPGs. I've got a bunch of them - though I've never played one outright they are all wonderfully done and have a very high density of useful ideas, even if you never play one of those games outright. However, I do want to get around to playing one of them at some point. High on my list is the recent *TimeWatch *RPG, followed closely by *Night's Black Agents*, especially it's *Dracula Dossier.* For *TimeWatch* I'm generally a fan of the time travel genre and more importantly, at least for me, a huge f... more »

Mundane Lives Don't Matter, So Don't Try to Exercise Your Rights
In every encounter between a police officer and a citizen, only one life matters to the former – and it isn’t the latter. “Follow the commands of a police officer or risk dying,” snarled Major Travis Yates of the Tulsa Police Department in a recent essay for Law Officer. Requiring police officers to respect the rights of the citizens they detain, or to practice de-escalation when citizens assert their rights, would be tantamount to asking that “police stop being police” – that is, commissioned ministers of violence acting on behalf of the divine State. Whenever a police offi... more »
