An Appeal To Readers
You won't see well-paid journalists working for the mainstream corporate media asking for public donations to keep their heads above water. By contrast, much of the online 'alternative' media which challenges the mainstream narrative exists on a shoestring budget and relies on reader donations to survive, especially those sites that do not take advertising in order to remain independent. If you are a regular reader of my work and value what I do, please read this appeal.
The Election Isn't Over Yet-- But It's Probably Too Late For Trumpanzee To Recover
*Trumpanzee is looking at a John W. Davis-sized landslide* The Public Religion Research Institute released a poll over the weekend that isn't just bad news for Señor Trumpanzee, but looks like band news for the Republican Party going forward. If America was a country where only white people could vote-- a goal the GOP still works towards whenever they get a chance-- Trump would be OK and the Republican Party would be rocking from coast to coast. The War In Syria Is About Israel/Palestine
The war in Syria has nothing to do with overthrowing a dictator, democracy, human rights, freedom, or anything of that sort. The truth is that Syrians are bleeding and dying by the hundreds of thousands because Iran, Assad and Hezbollah want to continue to wage their war on Israel and liberate Palestine. Syria is a key chess piece for them in a much greater war. It is a link in a chain. As *Nasrallah recently said in an interview*, the war against Syria via ISIS and other Jihadist proxies backed by the U.S. and NATO is Israel's revenge for Hezbollah's victory in the summer of 2006... more »

Yes, the world faces severe cultural and philosophical headwinds. But it would be wrong to think it’s going to hell in a handcart, nor by any more up-to-date means of transportation. In fact, according to Johan Norberg, author of new book *Progress*, “2016 is the best time to be born in all of human history so far.” True, “only 4% of Brits and 6% of Americans believe that the world is getting better.” And probably a similar number of NZers and Australians feel the same. *But despite this universal sense of dread, humans are actually more safe, wealthier, healthier, more free, l... more »

Did Insanity Create a Shadow Man?
This note is important. What it represents is direct confirmation of the conjecture that a stressed human being is able to project a holograph of himself into the surrounds through strong resonance and that this holograph can then be observed at a later time. We had suspected as much in reference to ghosts in particular. This is a body of evidence in which the spirit itself is long gone and not critical to the observations. Yet it is clearly physical evidence of presence and in some instances of a violent crime. Otherwise they are just that - harmless images. All this fit... more »

How Millions of Trees Brought a Broken Landscape Back to Life
This needs to be better understood. Trees will establish themselves anywhere water is available. At most you need to overcome a thin toxic layer at times and that is often fixed with a shovel. The growing tree covers a huge foot print but the point of soil penetration is small. Much more important is the fact that a mature tree with a ton of wood fiber above ground has an equal amount underground. This opens the door for maximum biological activity in the soil matrix. Thus any blasted landscape needs to be somewhat groomed and attention paid to the natural hydrolo... more »

Well, the statement above is true and important. The misunderstanding of this statement – often arrogantly masked as a different opinion, one that may be presented assertively – may be considered one of the defining characteristics of the anti-quantum zealots. DuWayne Gregory-- Ready To Turn Long Island Blue Again
Republican Peter King has been in Congress since 1993 and his Democratic neighbor and crony, Blue Dog Steve Israel, has seen to it that he would have no serious challenges from the DCCC. With Israel himself finally retiring, there were hopes that the DCCC would finally take on King, an outspoken and belligerent Trump supporter. The Democrats have their best candidate for the seat in living memory, DuWayne Gregory, the respected and well-liked presiding officer of the Suffolk County legislature. The Long Island South Shore district has moved significantly east into bright blue Suff... more »

I started my talk on Wednesday with some quotes from different people, about the future, that turned out not to be right (the theme for my talk this time was the future, and what kind of skills we need): Lord Kelvin, who was a physicist and an engineer, and a smart guy, said in 1883 that *X-rays is a fraud*, and in 1895, *Machines that are heavier than air will never be able to fly.* Dr. Lee de Foster, who was an inventor (he invented vacuum tubes), said that *Man will never go to the moon, no matter ... more »

Industry Insiders Say Cancer Makes Too Much Money To Cure
The cancer industry is truly big business in America, and this business cannot afford to allow anyone to find a cure. If any of the low cost, highly successful alternative cancer treatments were to be approved for use, then this entire business would come tumbling down. The pharmaceutical cartel will not let that happen. Because of corporate greed, we are losing the war on cancer. At the beginning of the last century, only one person in twenty would get cancer. In the 1940s it was just one out of every sixteen people. In the 1970s it was one person out of ten. Today? A staggering one... more »
17-Year-Old Creates App To Expose Sellout Politicians
Money and its corrupting influence is at the heart of complaints about politics in the United States, and every two years many candidates promise voters that they will try to reform a system that has lost its legitimacy. Why the Establishment Doesn't Get Corbynism
Spare a thought for the poor hacks paid to write about the Labour Party. Your job is to throw down boiler plate with a semi-original angle, while making a conscious effort not think about it unless you're employed for that express purpose. Making matters trickier is that last year's silly season saw every seam strip mined to throw dirt at Jeremy Corbyn. With little else left to be excavated we see a churn of pretty much the same stuff. This then has led to the new journalistic sub-genre of the anti-Corbyn missive, and their recycled insights come in two flavours. The first are atta... more »

Bulldozers with huge claws pulled down dangerously overhanging ledges Sunday in Italy's quake-devastated town of Amatrice as investigators worked to figure out if negligence or fraud in building codes had added to the quake's high death toll.] AMATRICE, Italy (AP) -- Italian authorities are vowing to investigate whether negligence or fraud in adhering to building codes played a role in the high death toll in last week’s earthquake in Italy. "A Look to the Heavens"
“Under dark skies the setting of the Milky Way can be a dramatic sight. Stretching nearly parallel to the horizon, this rich, edge-on vista of our galaxy above the dusty Namibian desert stretches from bright, southern Centaurus (left) to Cepheus in the north (right). *Click image for larger size.* From early August, the digitally stitched, panoramic night skyscape captures the Milky Way's congeries of stars and rivers of cosmic dust, along with colors of nebulae not readily seen with the eye. Mars, Saturn, and Antares, visible even in more luminous night skies, form the the bright c... more »
Chet Raymo, “The Sound And Fury”
*“The Sound And Fury”* by Chet Raymo “Not so long ago, I mentioned here Himmler and Heydrich, two of Hitler's most terrible henchmen. A friend said to me: "If there's no afterlife, no heaven or hell, then those two diabolical creatures got away with it. Their fate was no different than that of any one of their victims, an innocent child perhaps." Paulo Coelho, "The Mouse And The Books"
*"The Mouse And The Books"* by Paulo Coelho "When I was interned in Dr. Eiras Hospital, I began to have panic crises. Therefore, I put the most important books in a safe place and let him gnaw some others. In this way, he is still a mouse and does not become a monster... more »
The Poet: Denise Levertov, "Variation On A Theme By Rilke"
*"Variation On A Theme By Rilke"* ("The Book of Hours, Book I, Poem 1, Stanza 1") "A certain day became a presence to me; there it was, confronting me- a sky, air, light: a being. And before it started to descend from the height of noon, it leaned over and struck my shoulder as if with the flat of a sword, granting me honor and a task. The day's blow rang out, metallic- or it was I, a bell awakened, and what I heard was my whole self saying and singing what it knew: I can." ~ Denise Levertov
