How do you maximize nutrition?

*An apply a daykeeps the doctor away!*March is *National Nutrition Month*.
While researching nutrition, I came across a rather shocking statistic: Over
90% of U.S. adults are deficient in at least one vitamin or mineral.
The problem is that while there is an abundance of food in our country,
much of it is processed and full of empty calories. A calorie of food is
simply a measure of energy and all calories are equal. What changes is the
nutrient density ... the amount of nutrition we get from a calorie of food.
Here's an example:

Shock: Fracking Used to Inject Nuclear Waste Underground for Decades
Aaron Dykes and Melissa Melton
Unearthed articles from the 1960s detail how nuclear waste was buried
beneath the Earth’s surface by Halliburton & Co. for decades as a means of
disposing the by-products of post-World War II atomic energy production.
Fracking is already a controversial practice on its face; allowing U.S.
industries to inject slurries of toxic, potentially carcinogenic compounds
deep beneath the planet’s surface — as a means of “see no evil” waste
disposal — already sounds ridiculous, dangerous, and stupid anyway without
even going into further detail.

topic I only touched on yesterday. This is for school boards and for high

Do not teach any national history in elementary or high school. There are
two reasons. One is that any national history is such a broad subject that
it can be taught only as memory work (rote learning), and it is a waste of
time because rote learning is soon forgotten.
The other reason is because the only history you are allowed to teach in

An old theory in international trade (and migration) but which I heard and

assumed that all other things being equal, meaning distance between and
among trade partners are assumed to be similar. The addition of the gravity

THE CALIBER OF OUR OWN DISCOURSE: Eric Holder limns Officer Wilson!

One of the stories concerns the apparently horrible conduct of Ferguson’s

China Has Announced Plans For A ‘World Currency’

The Chinese do not plan to live in a world dominated by the U.S. dollar for
much longer. Chinese leaders have been calling for the U.S. dollar to be

international currency to be created. But what if that is not what the
Chinese had in mind? What if they have always wanted their own currency to

The common missions will involve the so-called 'Renegade' procedure aimed

Population Decline and the Great Economic Reversal
It is noteworthy that folks are waking up to the demographic transition
underway. Global population will be declining and we are at the plateau
now although there are still hot spots. The natural process reported here
is dead on. The only thing missing is China's sharp population decline
which is already likely underway but well hidden.
All this misses two other critical points. The first and most important in
the short term is that we will exit the oil economy. This will powerfully
emasculate the Islamic world and Russia as well. The price will be

Taming the butterfly effect
The butterfly effect is a defining effect of chaos theory. As Edward Lorenz
said, the flapping of a butterfly's wings in Beijing is needed to decide
whether a hurricane is created and lands in New Orleans a few weeks later.
(And it is not, as the porn gurus in the IPCC claim, because of the CO2
that the butterfly exhales and that leads to a climate cataclysm.)
Is that true? There are many other butterflies and effects that help to
decide but in general, it is often true: major events (hurricanes) are
often strongly affected by very small perturbations of the initial state

Cold-weather training critical as race for arctic's natural resources heats up
[image: Arctic submarine]Alaska was known as Russian America before the
Russian Empire sold it to the U.S. government in 1867.
The Russians built their North American colonies to tap into a rich
fur-seal trade. When they sold the land for $7.2 million — after more than
a century of occupation — the Russians were under financial duress and in
fear of losing the territory in a future conflict with the British, with
whom they fought the Crimean War in 1853-56.

The paucity of the fossil record should warn scientists off from drawing

What is more certain though is that if one existed, it speciated to

The Poet: Mary Oliver, “I Worried”
*“I Worried”*
by Mary Oliver
“ I worried a lot. Will the garden grow, will the rivers
flow in the right direction, will the earth turn
as it was taught, and if not how shall
I correct it?
Was I right, was I wrong, will I be forgiven,
can I do better?
Will I ever be able to sing, even the sparrows
can do it and I am, well,
hopeless.
Is my eyesight fading or am I just imagining it,
am I going to get rheumatism,
lockjaw, dementia?
Finally I saw that worrying had come to nothing.
And gave it up. And took my old body
and went out into the morning,
and sang.”

No.
We are free, says Heisenberg, if our actions are self-generated, and not
mere responses to external stimuli. But how can they be self-generated in a
world of cause and effect? As befitting the son of Werner Heisenberg,
father of the Uncertainty Principle, Martin invokes the stochastic nature
of quantum mechanics. Presumably, randomly firing neurons equal free will.
