"One summer night, out on a flat headland, all but surrounded by the waters

flowing across the sky, the patterns of the constellations standing out

Assisted suicide
A unanimous Supreme Court today struck down the Criminal Code provision
against aiding and abetting someone to commit suicide. The Court said the
provision deprives people suffering from grievous and irremediable medical
conditions the right to life, liberty and security of the person as
guaranteed under the Constitution. In effect the Court said doctors can
assist people to commit suicide.
The court's ruling limits physician-assisted suicides to "a competent adult

3-star: 'Lot of work' before railgun arrives in fleet
[image: Railgun]The Navy's weaponeers have built a working railgun. Now it
falls to Vice Adm. William Hilarides to figure out what to do with it.
The electromagnetic railgun comes in at about 30 feet. It will be loaded
aboard a joint high-speed vessel later this year, with an at-sea live fire
demonstration set for next year.
Beyond that, it falls to Hilarides and the systems engineers at Naval Sea
Systems Command to turn what's essentially a lab gun into the fleet's most
fearsome deck gun — capable of firing a shell 100 nautical miles.

Abbott: Japanese-built subs could cause tensions with China
[image: KSS-II (Type-214) class SSK]The prime minister has reportedly
admitted that having Australia’s next generation of submarines built in
Japan would not benefit relations with China.
The Australian Financial Review cites a report in Germany’s Der Spiegel
magazine on a meeting between PM Tony Abbott and Germany’s chancellor
Angela Merkel.
Merkel, in a conversation with Abbott at the G20 in Brisbane, spruiked
Germany’s track record with submarine building – TKMS has made submarines
for Israel and South Korea – as well as its neutrality regarding China and
Japan.

Kung Pao Potato: Can China Learn to Love the Spud?
This is the one food revolution readily available to China. Everything is
right to make potato starch a primary staple, just as was done in Europe.
Land efficiency leaps several fold and the demand on the land is light in

Obviously it is time to do this to ensure local food sufficiency.
My only surprise is that it took so long to do when it is so obvious and so
easy.

The Hard Problem

Without my key insight regarding the physicality of the spirit and its
integral association as part of so called Dark Matter, it is impossible to

Understanding that the light body is fundamentally a holographic computing
device with a uniform repetitive physical architecture in no way emulated
in the physical world we experience makes the separation of physical mind

US House Passes Low-Dose Radiation Bill
In view of the fact that one time exposures are generally handled very well
and typically results in a health bounce as well, it is perhaps high time
that we clearly understood the whole biochemical cycle that it sets off.
We all how are exposed to microwave radiation at close range daily and the
modality of those effects are yet to be clearly shown or described as shown
by the continuing controversy around them.
This program will certainly discover the fine detail that is missing in
this whole sector. I am only regretful that it took so long, but it

Agricultural Biochar: State-of-the-Art Soil
This is a good to see a mainstream report on biochar. It also tells us

Now we seem to have successful commercial delivery although i cannot
