Jeff Gates- How the Israeli Lobby took control of US Foreign Policy & Public Opinion

Penny at Penny for your thoughts - 40 minutes ago
*With thanks to RIR* "Jeff joins us to talk about his third book, Guilt By Association -- How Deception and Self-Deceit Took America to War. He begins by explaining his personal awakening to the endorsed, systemic criminality going on in the background of politics. Jeff illustrates the US’s long-term relationship with the Israeli Zionist enclave that was recognized in 1948 during Truman’s presidency – a group responsible for expanding organized crime to a global scale behind the façade of a sovereign state" Didn't agree with every bit of it, but, it was still worth listening to!

Thin places are geographical locales where the veil between this world and the otherworld is- well, thin. Porous, permeable. Places where you are more likely to encounter the Divine. Global Air Pollution Has Offset Arctic Warming By 60%

KenInNY at DownWithTyranny! - 11 hours ago
*by Gaius Publius* It looks like my two-part Arctic warming and ice-loss discussion is turning into a triptych. Here's a third part, a capper. In the first piece we saw that one of the most rapidly diminishing glaciers in Greenland has dramatically accelerated its destruction. The front face of the glacier took 100 years, from 1901 to 2001, to retreat eight miles — then retreated nine miles in the next ten years. If you do the math, that's a tenfold increase in the average speed during that first 100 years. (By the way, there's a nice dramatic video in that piece showing the bre... more »

I had the great fortune to meet Agee twice - the first time organizing a speaking event for him in Orlando in the 1990's that drew folks from across Florida. The second time I visited his home in Hamburg, Germany in 1995 while on a speaking tour against NASA's Cassini plutonium launch. Agee is one of my heroes - he was a man of true conscience who left the CIA after serving for about a dozen years in Latin America. Iraq remains one of the most oil dependent countries in the world. Its 2015 budget, which was just ratified by the country’s president relies upon petroleum for 85% of its revenue. A short essay here lifted from my discussion with some friends in fb. *1. Humility vs. arrogance, Active vs suspended bureaucrats* If I were resigned Police Gen. Alan Purisima, I will publicly admit that my intervention and ego-tripping led to that huge casualty in ‪#‎Mamasapano last January 25. Then I will visit personally many family members of the dead cops to ask for forgiveness. If they remain very angry at me, I will commit suicide. In this PDI report last February 12, he has publicly admitted that he did intervene, but only after he was cornered by Sen. Miriam Santiago. *"Ku... more »

Poland to spend billions on defence amid rumblings of war in Europe

Ko Savonije at Naval Open Source INTelligence - 22 hours ago
[image: EC725 Caracal]Looking east to the bloody conflict gripping Ukraine, NATO-member Poland has kicked off an unprecedented military spending spree worth billions to overhaul its forces as Warsaw believes peace in Europe is no longer a given, AFP reported. The escalation of tensions with Russia over its annexation of Ukraine's Crimean peninsula and subsequent role in the crisis in that country's east has sounded the alarm on NATO's eastern flank in countries that were under Moscow's thumb during the Cold War. Russia has also rattled its neighbours by repeatedly testing their air ... more »

Replacing Trident with jets ‘would save £13bn’

Ko Savonije at Naval Open Source INTelligence - 22 hours ago
[image: UGM-133 Trident]Replacing Trident with a nuclear deterrent dropped from the air would save up to £13 billion for priority defence equipment spending, a think-tank has claimed in a new report. Trident nuclear submarines at Faslane are an “expensive and excessive” solution to the UK deterrence requirements and would have been ineffective even during the Cold War, CentreForum said in its analysis. Instead, the UK’s forthcoming F-35 Joint Strike Fighters – a stealth aircraft bought for conventional missions – should be adapted to deliver a “minimum nuclear deterrent” based upon ... more »

[image: Review of NATURAL HOMEMADE PEST REPELLENTS by Kate Wiler] Have you ever been stung by a wasp? I have and it's not fun. In fact, it hurts ... a lot ... for a long time! When wasps took up residence in a bird house that I had hanging on the patio, I started investigating ways to get them away from us. Every solution destroyed them. Here's the thing ... the methods used to destroy pests in our homes and/or gardens also, typically, destroy beneficial insects. I also tend to believe that all creatures have their purpose and if it's at all possible, I'd like to repel pests rather ... more »

Did Netanyahu And The Mossad Have The Arrogance To Do An EXACT DUPLICATE FALSE FLAG Like Charlie Hedbo In Copenhagen, Denmark?

Is Israel DARING anyone to do something about these obvious FALSE FLAG's? In post, I wrote about the *Charlie Hedbo FALSE FLAG attack*. In the Charlie Hedbo attack, there were 3 elements: 1. Masked (of course) Gunmen (or gunman) unknown at the time but who turn out to be "Muslims" who turn up dead later (*PATSIES*) are involved in a shooting to do with a drawing disrespecting Muhammad. To make you think "Muslims" did it, "news" articles will say that the shooter(s) yelled "ALLAH AKBAR" or "God Is Great" which is a sure sign of a false flag. 2. There's a secondary shooting at a J... more »

Are We Going To Put A Stop To The Surveillance State? No One Is Going To Do It For Us

This evening, Blue America sent all members a letter about the continued, unconstitutional bulk surveillance of American citizens by an out of control Security-Industrial Complex. This isn't going to go away by itself and it doesn't seem to matter much if Democrats or Republicans are in power. This is something ordinary citizens have to put a stop to; politicians aren't going to-- not unless they're forced to. (Although... perhaps an Independent...) Then and Now: Imourod on Lanyu

Michael Turton at The View from Taiwan - 1 day ago
Was trawling the East Asia Image Forum for Lanyu pics when I came across this picture of the people of Lanyu launching boats, from the first half of the 1930s. Got to wondering what beach this was. Did I have this view? Yep, sure did. It's the beach that now hosts the village of Imourod, Hongtou (red head) in Chinese. I've placed them next to each other for comparison. The angle is the same but my pic was taken from farther away. Erosion and vegetation have blurred the shapes.... _______________________ [Taiwan] Don't miss the comments below! Introduced the annual composts (both sheet and pile including, in the latter, the year-old humanure) to the top two inches of the soil in the lower, north end of the garden. As I am old I do this with an electric cultivator. This is not tilling; the deep soil is too wet and I dislike destroying the structure. Will come back later with the broadfork to shape and loosen the beds, as was done in the upper part a few weeks ago. The white bits you can see are mostly eggshells. I should dry and crumble them before they go on the garden but just don't have the oomph. The grapes at rig... more »

I believe in human flourishing, that people should be free to flourish in self-chosen ways. I believe this is most likely to happen in an environment where the role of government is limited in a principled way. I believe the role of government in New Zealand today is too large, and that the government should own, spend, and regulate less than it currently does. The next question is ... more »
