I have only had extremely positive experiences with Empowernetwork.com. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be connected to them in anyway. They are very trustworthy. You can tell by their transparency. Vendor reliability has been outstanding.

I'm really shocked that anyone has ranked this site in the negative. WOT is the only place on the Internet that does. I'm questioning the integrity of WOT. "

Informative sight. WOT is being abused and does not tabulate ratings properly. "

June is Internet Safety Month; a great opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of practicing online safety measures. It is critical that children and their parents know about the safety features available on the Internet. Yahoo!'s Trust & Safety Team, along with Common Sense Media, a non-profit organization that provides parents and educators with online tools and information, and other safety experts, have now developed an easy-to-use, one-stop-shop resource for parents and children called the Digital Safety Kit. The first-of-its-kind kit helps families navigate the digital world safely, responsibly and ethically.
The kit covers a variety of pertinent topics for kids and parents, including cyber bullying, digital harassment, protecting and respecting privacy, security, as well as self-expression and identity. Typically, parents have many questions when it comes to these topics, and the Digital Safety Kit provides tip sheets to effectively answer the frequently asked questions.
Parents will also have the opportunity to share what they learn with friends and family, and the kit illustrates the best ways to go about it. It also provides the necessary tools for parents and others to hold workshops in their school district or community, to spread the word about online safety.
The key to staying safe online is to make smart choices, and the Digital Safety Kit provides the road map to help make that happen. Kids will be armed with effective tools to use, especially when faced with challenges in the digital landscape, and parents will be able to learn practical tips that they can use at home with their family. To access the Digital Safety Kit, please visit safely.yahoo.com/kit.

My takeaway is this. Web of Trust still works; somewhat....but if you don't check ratings comments you will miss the best material out there because of trolls.
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog ...
