"Tell me yourself, I challenge you—answer. Imagine that you are creating a fabric of human destiny with the object of making men happy in the end, giving them peace and rest at last, but that it was essential and inevitable to torture to death only one tiny creature... and to found that edifice on its unavenged tears: would you consent to be the architect on those conditions? *“Obama Threatens Putin with Nuclear War”* by Eric Zuesse “It’ll be at a time of our choosing,” says U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, on NBC’’s “Meet the Press,” to be aired on Sunday, October 16th. Interviewer Chuck Todd had asked him, “Why would he [Obama] send a message out to Putin?” Biden pursed his lips, paused, and said, with a grim look on his face, “We sent him the message.” Of course that didn’t answer Todd’s question, which was “Why?" Right now, it appears that the criminal "Powers That Be" or the so called "Global (Jewish) Elite" are about to send this entire world into a global war just to keep their control apparatus in place... It is so sickening to see that most people, and especially those gullible people living in the United States itself, are more concerned about the "Kardashians" or the upcoming "NFL football games" than having their nation, and the entire planet in fact, destroyed in a nuclear war...... more »

Egypt's President Is Predicting A Long War Against Sinai Militants
*Reuters:* *Egypt retaliates against Islamist militants after North Sinai attack* Egyptian jets bombed Islamist militant targets for three hours on Saturday, one day after Islamic State guerrillas killed 12 soldiers in North Sinai province, the armed forces said in a statement. Islamic State claimed responsibility on Friday for the attack on a checkpoint 40 km (25 miles) from the town of Bir al-Abd. It was the first major attack in the central Sinai area, which had so far escaped the militants' insurgency. "A targeted air strike, which lasted for three hours, resulted in the des... more »
No wonder! Janet Yellen's repeated assertion that there is full employment is believed implicitly by the mavens of the stock markets. However, smarter people know that (1) 23% of working-age Americans have given up looking for a job, because there are virtually none to be had, whereas (2) Yellen treats those 23% as though dead. However, the not so bright mavens of industry and the stock market read her claim of full employment as a signal that there are millions of Americans out there who can and will buy their products. Wrong! Because of their stupidity the mavens of the stock market push their stocks ever higher. In the meanwhile those with common sense know that the deepest stock market crash of all times will soon take place. Corrolary: The silver and gold presently being depressed will skyrockt when the crash arrives.

"Ironic, Isn't It?"
"In a universe devoid of life, any life at all would be immensely meaningful. We ARE that meaning. "And what we see, "says the poet Mary Oliver, "is the world that cannot cherish us, but which we cherish." As though life itself is the great, universal, unrequited love of all time. But there is even more to this. Deep mystery. We are the universe aware of itself. We let the miracle get lost in distractions. On a planet so rich with living companions, much of humanity sentences itself to solitary confinement. Late at night, I used to lie in my boat listening to radio calls from ships... more »
"Russian Television Tells Citizens Nuclear War May Be Imminent"; A Comment
*"Russian Television Tells Citizens Nuclear War May Be Imminent-* * Find Location of Nearest Bomb Shelter. * *US Base at Diego Garcia So Loaded With Planes Parking Them on Roads”* by Newsroom "Russian television has told its citizens that nuclear war may be "imminent." The terrifying Russian television broadcast explicitly told civilians to find out where their nearest bomb shelter is and repeatedly asked viewers if they were ready for nuclear war. One apocalyptic broadcast told viewers on Moscow's state-owned TV channel NTV: "If it should one day happen, every one of you should know...more »
Dylan Wins Nobel, Fights Ensue-- We Think It's Good News And Celebrate Him
*by Denise Sullivan* The Thursday morning announcement that Bob Dylan has won the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature seems to have struck a raw nerve among (mostly) male novelists and some crabby millennials on social media who were intent on disputing the 75-year-old American songwriter's worthiness of the honor. We wish to respond by saying they are entirely wrong: Dylan is an extraordinary figure. He's withstood serving as a cultural weathervane for over 50 years while flourishing as a writer. As a literary artist, we will never again see his likes in our lifetimes. That we lived ... more »

Pantry Makeover
This post is sponsored by Sprouts, but the mess and clean up is all my own. ;) When we moved in to our new house last year, the holidays were just starting. I dumped everything in my pantry and called it good for a long time.... too long. With everything that was going on around the holidays, I didn't think I had time to focus on cleaning up the pantry. If only I had realized just how much time I was going to waste looking for things, I might have cleaned it up sooner. At the beginning of the year I was diagnosed with a chronic illness and it was just the kick in the pants I need... more »

There's No Real Republican In The California Senate Race-- But Blue Dog Loretta Sanchez Is Close Enough
*Very weak dab from Sanchez, a very weak candidate* Perhaps you read yesterday that Trump was apologizing to the corpse of war criminal Slobodan Milošević for the U.S./NATO bombing to stop the ethnic cleansing (genocide) of Muslims who had lived there when the Drumpf family was still raising pigs in Karlstadt. Perhaps Trump was trying to please Serbian fascist leader Vojislav Šešelj, founder and head of the neo-Nazi Serbian Radical Party. According to Trump's Russian allies at Sputnik News, Trump is the apple of fascist eyes in Serbia. Same in Russia, where Putin ally, Vladimir Zhir... more »

WikiLeaks: Podesta Warns Persian Gulf ‘Nuclear War’ Is Coming
A leaked email from Clinton’s campaign Chairman John Podesta reveals plans to prepare for a nuclear war in the Middle East in the wake of the Iran nuclear deal. In the email, Podesta agrees with predictions made by Senator Mark Kirk in which he says that a nuclear war is likely kick off in the Persian Gulf in the very near future. Podesta’s email was in response to a message from John Anzalone, in which Anzalone quotes Kirk’s predictions. “This agreement condemns the next generation to cleaning up a nuclear war in the Persian Gulf … This is the greatest appeasement since Chamberl...more »

The White house say that solar flares, and geomagnetic disturbances are likely to have a huge impact on electrical equipment on Earth that could pose a health and safety crisis across the globe. "The March to World War III"
*"The March to World War III"* by Jeff Nielson "The Next Crash is coming. Equity markets (especially U.S. markets) have been pumped up to bubble levels. Bond markets (especially the U.S. bond market) have been pumped up to absurd, bubble levels – and it isn’t even supposed to be possible to have a stock bubble and a bond bubble simultaneously. It is yet another symptom of the hyperinflationary insanity and monetary criminality of the grossly excessive currency-creation by Western central banks. Equally, real estate markets across the entire Western world are at near all-time bubbl... more »

The United Nations and Diplomacy’s Glass Ceiling
While the election of Antonio Guterres as the UN’s new Secretary-General was hailed by many, it has sparked renewed debate about gender issues in the United Nations system. While Guterres has a distinguished resume—including time spent as the Prime Minister of Portugal and as the UN High Commissioner for Refugees—this election cycle was also the […]

Peace Walk Day 3 to Unity
This morning we joined the Grandmothers from the area who are still fighting to save this region of Maine from being torn apart by the big industrial development corporations who are itching to build a mega-corridor to move electricity, oil, natural gas, manufactured goods and more. They were happy that our show of solidarity could help swell their dedicated group at the vigil along side the Cianbro Corporation HQ. It was a windy and cool day but beautifully sunny as we walked toward Unity where tonight we are sleeping on the floor at the MOFGA (Maine Organic Farmers & Growers As... more »
Moral Necessity and the NAACP Charter Moratorium, Part 1
Principal Jondré Pryor of KIPP South Fulton Academy (KSFA) is just one among many corporate education reform schoolers who are wringing their hands over the NAACP's 2016 decision to support a strongly-worded resolution calling for a moratorium on the spread of privately-operated charter schools (see resolution at bottom of this page). Rather than accepting the possibility that NAACP members have read and heard about too many child abuse cases at "no excuses" charters to remain silent any longer, Mr. Pryor claims the problem is simply a matter of NAACP delegates suffering from an o... more »

Parkinson’s researcher with three retractions heads to court on Monday
On Monday, Parkinson’s researcher Caroline Barwood will head to court in Brisbane, Australia, following a probe at her former institution, the University of Queensland (UQ). Barwood was granted bail in November, 2014 — charges included that she “dishonestly applied for grant funds,” and fabricated research that claimed a breakthrough in treating Parkinson’s disease, according to The Guardian. Milky Way Is Part Of Massive Intergalactic Highway
Astronomers have discovered that our Milky Way is part of a massive intergalactic highway that links 100,000 galaxies containing one hundred quadrillion suns, across 500 million light years of space. Supercluster of galaxies are interconnected and strung out like pearls, forming glowing ‘filaments’ along the highway, according to scientists. The intergalactic highway is being drawn in towards a mysterious force called the Great Attractor, emanating from an ‘unknown region’ of the universe. Ancient Code reports: Astronomers maintain that there are somewhere around 100 and 200 BILL...more »

Karlsruhe neutrino mass experiment has been turned on
The Washington Post tells us that the Karlsruhe Tritium Neutrino Experiment (KATRIN) was turned on today. *Karlsruhe looks luxurious. At least the 1715 palace does. Just to be sure, the city is just miles East from the Easternmost point of France.* The experiment costs €60 million i.e. $66 million and has the chance – perhaps the greatest chance among the experiments in the near future – to measure the absolute masses of the neutrinos. The heart of the experiment is a spectrometer that weighs 200 SI tons. This spectrometer will carefully measure the energy of the electrons that... more »
