Giving Thanks Amid Political Uncertainty
In my family Thanksgiving has never been about pilgrims having a mythical

provides an opportunity to show our gratitude for family, friendship and

lives of innocent Americans to the more mundane political battles that
amplify longstanding tensions, finding gratitude in this contentious
political space seems elusive.

Kirkuk Oil Fields And US Pressure Lead Iraq To Agree To Use Kurdish Pipeline Again
(Amirki)
Iraq’s central and regional governments have made a new deal to export oil
via the Kurds’ pipeline to Turkey. This came about due to several factors.
First, production is increasing at the Kirkuk fields after the federal
government took them over in October 2017 from the Kurds, and there was no
outlet for the oil. Second, the Trump administration put pressure upon
Baghdad to follow its sanctions on Iran and increase exports to make up for
the loss of Tehran’s oil. Finally, there was already an agreement on the
table between Baghdad and Irbil left from the Abadi government. ... more »

The Reason for Killing Iranians

While US sanctions technically permit Iran to import medicines, it is
actually just a ruse to make it look like US officials are kind,
compassionate, and benevolent. In actuality, the way the sanctions work
will mean that the Iranian people will inevitably be deprived of
much-needed medicines. That’s because the US extends its sanctions system
to banks that process payments to Iran, which is likely to inhibit the
importation of medicines into Iran.
But that’s the point behind the sanctions: to kill as many Iranians as

From the Department of Putting Lipstick on a Neoliberal Pig:
An exclusive cartel of wealthy Democratic donors imagine that the way to
win back the presidency in 2020 is to back more progressive candidates who
can attract the black and brown working class from the Sunbelt and the
Southwest. Their abandonment of the deplorable white working class from the
Rust Belt who went for Trump leaves a big vacuum that has to be filled. To
that end, they held a private strategy session at a luxury Washington D.C.

Meet Heckler & Koch's VP9 Handgun: The Gun the Army Should Have Purchased?
*Kyle Mizokami*
*Security, *
The VP9 is sleek and modern looking, in part due to a complete lack of a
hammer at the rear of the gun.
*One big question: why was the VP9 never seriously considered as part of
the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun System (MHS) competition? *
One of the most interesting semi-automatic handguns on the American
firearms market is made in Germany. Designed and is manufactured in
Oberndorf, Germany, the Heckler & Koch VP9 pistol is touted as one of the
most durable, reliable handguns in the world. Born in aftermath of World
War II, gunmaker Heckler & Koch has ... more »
Meet the Smith & Wesson 500: The Super Gun That Has as Much Firepower As a Rifle

*Security, *
We have all the answers.
*What is such a difficult handgun good for? The Model 500 is not for home
defense: not only is the round overkill, it is too heavy and deafening when
shooting indoors.*
In the world of firearms, there are plenty of boutique guns and calibers
out there. Many are very powerful, but may have a very small market
audience. Among the unique class of very, very big handguns, the Smith &
Wesson 500 packs both popularity and power in a ridiculously lethal
package, with a killing power equal to high-powered rifles . . . and a

Meet the Ruger American Pistol: The Most Deadly Gun on the Planet?

*Security, *
We take a look.
*Ruger built the American Pistol to perform in the harsh environments a
U.S. Army service pistol could find itself in, immersing it in water, sand,
dust, and mud. *
One of the newest pistols on the U.S. gun market was created to compete in
the U.S. Army’s Modular Handgun System. Although it would never actually
compete against winner Sig Sauer, the Ruger American Pistol is now
available to civilian shooters who want a reliable, safe, well-designed
pistol backed up by the Ruger name.

Eat this for breakfast before your liver cops it, 9 in 10 are deficient
Choline, found in ample amounts in egg yolks, was first discovered in 1862.
Since then, we’ve learned that this is a truly essential nutrient for a
healthy brain, nervous system and cardiovascular function. It’s
particularly crucial during fetal development, so choline requirements rise
exponentially in pregnant women. Importantly, choline is used in the
synthesis of […]
