"At last, the answer why. The lesson that had been so hard to find, so difficult to learn, came quick and clear and simple. The reason for problems is to overcome them. Why, that’s the very nature of man, I thought, to press past limits, to prove his freedom. It isn’t the challenge that faces us, that determines who we are and what we are becoming, but the way we meet the challenge, whether we toss a match at the wreck or work our way through it, step by step, to freedom." - Richard Bach, “Nothing by Chance”

Hillary Clinton and Jimmy Kimmel

KRandle at A Different Perspective - 8 hours ago
Yesterday (March 24) I accidentally caught Hillary Clinton on *Jimmy Kimmel Live* and normally I would have turned it off at that point but she had said something about Area 51 and UFOs. She was talking about how she would delve into the UFO question to get answers that she believed that we all deserved (as long as it didn’t violate national security). Her husband, Bill, had apparently tried that and got nowhere because had he gotten the answers, there would be no reason for Hillary to explore it further. It also suggests that the answers given to Bill were inadequate and suggest th... more »

This BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-35893123 is well worth reading as it reports something that the BBC would rather keep quiet. However the passage that caught my eye was this one: 'In January, The Herald reported that Glasgow Central Mosque had donated money to the orthodox group Tablighi Jamaat, which some argue promotes an extreme brand of Islam.' 'Some argue promotes an extreme brand of Islam'? No analysis, no listing of the possibly extreme views, just that bland statement. Why does the BBC continue to try to protect extremist Islamists from sc... more »

Gaddafi Warned The World About ISIS Invasion Of Europe In 2011

"Joy, Shipmates, Joy..."

“Night and day the river flows. If time is the mind of space, the River is the soul of the desert. Brave boatmen come, they go, they die, the voyage flows on forever. We are all canyoneers. We are all passengers on this little mossy ship, this delicate dory sailing round the sun that humans call the earth. Joy, shipmates, joy.” - Edward Abbey

Belgium Intelligence And Security Forces Are Broken

War News Updates Editor at War News Updates - 1 day ago
*John Lloyd, Reuters:* *The world’s spies agree Belgian intelligence is broken* The attack on Europe’s political capital on Tuesday has been widely blamed on bad intelligence; not just the dysfunctional separation of powers in Belgium, but on the lack of sharing of information among the many intelligence services of the 28 states of the European Union. The services in the former Communist states to the east were reconfigured after the collapse of the Soviet-backed regimes in 1990, but some still contain habits — and in a few cases personnel — from the days when they saw the West ... more »

How Congress Protects Monsanto At California Taxpayers Expense

Royce Christyn at Your News Wire - 1 day ago
Three California towns are currently suing Monsanto for poisoning San Francisco Bay with PCBs, chemicals known to cause cancer. Many involved in the lawsuit hope the court’s ultimate decision will make it easier for other cities across the US to hold companies, like Monsanto, liable for environmental damage. Until now, companies that cause long-term damage are rarely, if ever considered “at fault” by the US Government. If the towns from California win, it could set a new precedent for the rights of communities to hold manufacturers liable, even if the company didn’t cause a “direct ... more »
