Run, Bernie, Run
I haven't watched *Meet the Press* since I was in high school. Today they had Bernie Sanders on, who, coincidentally, went to that same high school, James Madison in Brooklyn. He'd never been on *Meet the Press* before, which helps explain why I stopped watching that program. I suspect a political toadie who also went to Madison, Chuck Schumer, has been on *Meet the Press* plenty of times. But Schumer, thank the Lord, will never run for President. Bernie, it appears will, presumably as a Democrat-- so a party switch-- so that he can debate Hillary and, push her in a moire populist...more »
Don Brash: “There is a huge bidding campaign going on, with virtually no party putting forward policies which would actually deal with some of the fundamental issues facing the country”
With everything else gong on in this Reality TV election campaign, what Don Brash finds most depressing is that the man named after a concrete block will almost certainly end up holding the balance of power – with the baubles waved under his nose likely to be the deciding factor in which was he swings. Yes, I find this perhaps the most depressing aspect of the campaign. Winston, the man whose policy promises are so outrageously expensive that NZ First policies are the only ones which Dr Michael Dunn (on behalf of the Taxpayers’ Union, and for 12 years the man responsible within th... more »

[image: Scott Naturals® Tube-Free - Review and Giveaway] *An estimated 17 billion cardboardtubes are thrown away each year*What do you do with toilet paper tubes? Search the Internet and you'll find a host of creative uses for them. I, myself, have reused them as seed starters, composted them, and recycled them. Keeping them out of a landfill is great but that's just one half of the equation. The other half involves the manufacturing process. As with any product, tubes require resources and energy. Obama: If Assad Defends Against US Attack, US Will Attack
Anthony Freda Art Brandon Turbeville Only hours after delivering his ridiculous address to the American people regarding his strategy to combat an organization that is entirely the product of the United States and NATO and one that is still under complete control of these powers, Obama conducted a meeting with “foreign policy experts,” former government officials, and journalists. The meeting, of course, is nothing more than round two in the volley of propaganda coming from the White House in its attempt to drum up more support from the American people for direct military inter... more »
Are Missouri Dems engineering a Republican-style grand-jury report in the Ferguson case?
*Demonstrators outside the Ferguson PD on August 30* *by Ken* I don't know whether Ferguson (MO) police officer Darren Wilson should be indicted in the shooting of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown, or if so what me should be indicted for. Rather obviously I don't have all the information or know all the relevant law. The thing is, the St. Louis County grand jury now hearing the case is going to have masses of information and law dumped on them, but may not be in a much better position to answer thes e questions. What's disturbing, though, is the suggestion that "the fix is in,... more »
New Army Commercial Sends WRONG Message to the World
When I saw this commercial, I honestly thought perhaps the Army is now making ads specifically targeting homosexuals. (We all know that it's just a matter of time.) I'm definitely ---not--- saying that graphic artists are all homosexuals. However, many male artists are and the eye gesture of the soldier looked like some kind of furtive homosexual-look. It looked like the actor-soldier could have been turning on the "gaydar" for other homosexuals watching the ad. I was working on my computer while watching football and that impression prompted me to "Google" this commercial (to ...more »

CDC whistleblower: behind the media blackout
Jon Rappoport Aside from a few bland stories about William Thompson, the CDC whistleblower, the major media have maintained a forced blackout. Thompson has publicly admitted he and his co-authors committed gross fraud in erasing a vaccine-autism connection. Consider the explosive angles on this story, angles which would ordinarily rate front-page coverage and top billing on the evening news. Thompson, in writing, has admitted fraud. He was a co-author of the cooked and slanted 2004 study, published in the prestigious journal, *Pediatrics*. That study gave a free pass to the MMR v... more »
The Extravagant Hypocrisy of Obama’s Foreign Policy Mandarins

late on a Sunday night - and not the usual blog
I guess it all started when Obama gave his fatuous, self-serving, and lying address on the "war against terror". Maybe it was that bit about how the world looks to America to lead for justice and freedom. This is grade school storybook stuff. The trouble is that so many Americans believe it when, in fact, the US may well now be the most hated nation in the world. It has never led anything for Justice and Freedom. American history from the start has been a history of aggression, conquest and exploitation. First they conquered and killed and/or displaced the native peoples (just as C... more »

Don’t shoot the messenger
Centuries ago when bad news had to be delivered to the king, the worst job to have was messenger. Armenian king Tigranes the Great was said to have executed the first messenger that gavr notice of Roman invasion – “and with no man daring to bring further information, without any intelligence at all, Tigranes sat while war was already blazing around him, giving ear only to those who flattered him..." It didn’t stop the invasion. Cleopatra threatened to treat a messenger's eyes as balls for telling her that Marc Antony had married another. “I bring the news,” said the messenger, “I... more »
Ostriches, sand, heads and beheadings
Did you know that ostriches, the world's largest bird, have three stomachs and that, unlike all other living birds, they secrete urine separately from faeces? Or that they run so fast in part because they have just two toes on each foot (most birds have four), with the large nail on the larger, inner toe resembling a hoof? Or that their famously large eggs are the largest of any living bird and weigh as much as two dozen chicken eggs, though they are actually the smallest eggs relative to the size of the adult bird? Or that they *don't* bury their heads in the sand when in danger? ... more »

The data, from the European Heart Study 2008, has been tabulated by Dr Kendrick to show the correlation between saturated fat consumption and CHD mortality between countries. Rule against perpetuities

World Shocked At ISIS Beheadings ... while our ally Saudi Arabia continues to whack heads off routinely as part of their justice system!
*"In the space of two weeks last month, according to the rights group Amnesty International, Saudi Arabia executed as many as 22 people. At least eight of those executed were beheaded, U.N. observers say. It appears that the majority of those executed in August were guilty of nonlethal crimes, including drug trafficking, adultery, apostasy and "sorcery." Four members of one family, Amnesty reports, were beheaded for "receiving drugs." [...] last year, a reported shortage of trained swordsmen led to some hope that the practice could wane, but recent evidence suggests otherwise. It's...more »

Was The U.S. 'Surprised' By The Rapid Growth Of The Islamic State?
*Islamic State's Rapid Growth Caught U.S. By Surprise -- L.A. Times* As Islamic State fighters from Syria blitzed across northern Iraq this summer, they swept thousands of fresh recruits from Iraqi Sunni tribal militias, prisons and insurgent groups into their ranks, nearly tripling the size of their armed force and catching U.S. authorities by surprise, U.S. intelligence officials said Friday. Dismantling the lethal new alliances in Iraq will be a key focus as the Obama administration scrambles to push back the fast-growing extremist army, which has achieved major military gains,...more »
So, This is where it bogs down a bit
In all honesty, I've been making-up a fair bit of what I've written in the past few days as I've been typing it. I've had some basic ideas and they've been fleshed-out as you see them here. Now, what's supposed to happen is the heroine is supposed to meet the baddy again, more as an equal than as an unarmed, overwhelmed teenager. I don't know if she'll win this confrontation or not. She's supposed to meet the hackers, especially that lead guy. I don't know the logistics of that yet. She's supposed to reconnect with the white boyfriend. Actually they're supposed to become lovers dur...more »

Shockingly, CIA Director John Brennan Is Still Not In Prison-- Or Even Out Of A Job
Since August 1, Ken and I have written 4 posts vaguely along the lines of Obama Hasn't Fired John Brennan Yet-- Let Alone Had Him Arrested, the others being here (August 3), here (August 6), and here (August 25). September is nearly half eaten up and I thought it was already past time for us to look at the scandal of unaccountability again. If we don't punish government criminals who break the law then we are guaranteed to have future government criminals to break the laws-- even worse. Had Kissinger faced the firing squad he earned, for example, I bet Cheney wouldn't have shredd... more »

The idea that consciousness has some kind of higher purpose has always been popular bec... more »
