This has been quite the year for me. Last October I was diagnosed with a rare but treatable form of cancer, Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Lucky for me I found an amazing doctor who's one of the specialists in this disease and she fought it, apparently successfully. While she fought that,I did my best to survive the treatment, treatment that was incredibly intense, in some ways the worst thing I had ever experienced in my life. Chemotherapy is no walk in the park and the "side effects: can be devastating. The cancer is in remission and the effects of the stem cell replacement are wearing of...more »
....and it's not a good idea to live at a turning point in history. The fighting in the middle east has huge stakes for the U.S. and Russia. The U.S. has made it clear it is looking for world domination. That's the principle put forward by Project for the New American Century. There can be do doubt about it. It's easy to find on the web. It's a scheme developed by, among others, Jeb Bush. It's often spoken of as American Exceptionalism, the belief that the U.S. has the right to intervene anywhere in the world, regardless of the law. What a terrible drawing.....Amateur. But is it "Drawing the wrong conclusion?" In this month's Quadrant, Steven Kates, under the subheading Myth vs Reality, writes "Global warming and Keynesian theory are natural bedmates...." His arguments re the comparisons of false diagrams is worth reading (see Quadrant -HERE) However, leaving aside his discussions of Keynesian Economics, the article harshly criticises the Mann Hockey stick. There are moments in which we feel we are seeking something that is not meant for us, knocking on doors that don’t open, waiting for miracles that don’t manifest themselves. Fortunately that is the way things are – if everything went the way we wanted, soon we would no longer have anything to write about, nothing to guide our daily thoughts. I have news, kiddies. Many countries have a habit of flying into the air space of other countries. Certainly, Russia has done it.
