Hillary is better than these I want to get something off my chest and I figure late night on a Sunday is as close to yelling at a wall as I'm going to get. This is an update on the biological condition we understand to be homosexuality. The most important take home is that homosexuality is produced by prenatal maternal stress likely at specific times not yet recognized. This strongly suggests that prenatal testing and intervention is a plausible option that can totally eliminate the condition. This is actually good news. It may not actually be curable once developed but may be alterable before development. After birth and even before development is seriously guided in a gender direction and reversal becomes too difficult. T...more »

Let us make all this simple. Our bodies become deficient in glycine, which is something i had suspected for a long time. I love this design. however i would like to see it scaled up by both two and four if not eight. The airflow design is naturally stable and that then leaves us with the problem of engine power. “Have you ever seen a sun pillar? When the air is cold and the Sun is rising or setting, falling ice crystals can reflect sunlight and create an unusual column of light. Ice sometimes forms flat, six-sided shaped crystals as it falls from high-level clouds. Air resistance causes these crystals to lie nearly flat much of the time as they flutter to the ground. Sunlight reflects off crystals that are properly aligned, creating the sun-pillar effect. * Click image for larger size.* In the above picture a sun-pillar reflects light from a Sun setting over Östersund, Sweden.” - http://apo...more »
*"Know Thyself"* by Chet Raymo "The ancient Greek aphorism, attributed to Socrates and others. Good advice, I'm sure. If only we knew what it means. Is it the same as the "examination of conscience" we were asked to perform as young Catholics? "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned." Well, yes, it is good to ask ourselves if we have lived up to our highest moral aspirations. But surely "Know thyself" means more than that. Does it mean to be aware of our self-awareness? That is to say, not to act impulsively, but reflectively. Thoreau's "I went to the woods because I wished to live d...more »

"5 Ways to Beef Up Your Brain" By Andrea Thompson "Weighing in at an average of 2.7 pounds (1,200 grams), the human brain packs a whopping 100 billion neurons. Incidentally, if you were wondering where Andrew Marr's discussion with U.S. Democratic Party pollster Stan Greenberg went next, well here's the answer: *Andrew Marr*: Is that kind of very hardline message ringing out across America at the same time? *Stan Greenberg*: Well, I think it is ringing out in the Republican Party and it's really I think quite important in trying to look at what's happening in America. We do have a story here that we're looking at about the fury at Trump, Donald Trump, talking about registering Muslims. *Andrew Marr*: He actually wants every Muslim in Amer...more »
*remember who is truly King* Reading I Dn 7:13-14 As the visions during the night continued, I saw one like a Son of man coming, on the clouds of heaven; when he reached the Ancient One and was presented before him, the one like a Son of man received dominion, glory, and kingship; all peoples, nations, and languages serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that shall not be taken away, his kingship shall not be destroyed. Reading 2 Rv 1:5-8 Jesus Christ is the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead and ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed ...more »

[image: Bataclan Theater, Paris, France] PARIS (AP) -- The vibe in the Bataclan concert hall was hot, steamy and electric as the California rock band Eagles of Death Metal jammed away a half-hour into a set. Revelers slam-danced to the hard rock, and bodies glistened...more »
There was a telling moment of what is sometimes called 'bias by labelling' on this morning's *Marr* show, wherein Andrew Marr betrayed his own views on a matter of controversy: *Andrew Marr*: Stan, you've got a story, I think, from the *Telegraph* that you'd like to show us. *Stan Greenberg*: Indeed I do. This is a story that says that Enoch Powell is right, which brings us back...What Simon Heff... *Andrew Marr*: Simon Heffer, who was Enoch Powell's biographer. *Stan Greenberg*: Yes, and what Simon Heffer writes about is about multiculturalism and about the dangers of multicultur...more »
Some facts. 1. The likelihood that you will be killed in a terrorist attack is extremely small. You are much more likely to be hit by lightning, killed in a car crash, have a heart attack, or meet your death hundreds of other ways. 2. Most documented terrorist attacks are perpetrated by people who are not Muslim. And this doesn't count anti-abortion violence or women being killed by abusive partners, which are forms of terrorism. 3. In 2013 and 2014, more than 316,000 people in the United States were killed by guns. 313 Americans died in terrorist attacks. 4. After the recent terro...more »

This little headline in our sidebar caught my eye: *“Sharri Markson: journalist at The Australian in run-in with Israeli security*” I thought I’d pop over to have a look and do a quick Google to see what sort of journalist we’re dealing with; so I turned up the collar of my trench-coat, adjusted my trilby and put out my pipe. It seems that as well as being a journalist, Sharri is a part glamour-girl and opportunist. She has a track record of sneaking into hospital wards pretending to be a visitor in order to get exclusive stories from victims of terrorism. (Well, she did that onc...more »

*Kyiv Post*: *Experts: Time running out for government to fulfill EuroMaidan goals* The EuroMaidan Revolution was successful in terms of ousting disgraced ex-President Viktor Yanukovych and his cronies, and shifting Ukraine back toward the path of European integration, according to a significant majority of 31 experts polled this month by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation policy center. However, two years later, the revolution’s other goals have not been achieved, namely eradicating systemic corruption and punishing those guilty of crimes. Socialism is Jeremy Corbyn in Number 10 plus superfast broadband! Okay, not as pithy as Lenin's definition involving soviet power and electrification, but John McDonnell's speech on Wednesday is a continuation of a fine tradition in left and centre left politics: the close alignment of our policy agenda with technological dynamism. Though, of course, it's more than just a nice rhetorical flourish - the lining up alongside futurity in John's case has a double purpose. His iPads and Socialism speech was an attempt to wrest the white heat of technology from the grip of George Osborne,...more »
