FDA Decision to Approve Gardasil Vaccine for Adults Will Likely Increase Cervical Cancer Rates
The HPV vaccine was just approved for adults, despite Merck’s concerning research data. The FDA made its determination in the face of substantial evidence of the dangers of the HPV vaccine and the existence of safer alternatives. For women who have already been exposed to certain strains of the HPV virus, vaccination can actually increase the risk of precancerous lesions by 44.6%. That’s right: if you are already infected with HPV, getting vaccinated could increase your risk of getting cancer. To put this in perspective, 79 million Americans are thought to be infected with HPV, and... more »

"Just Remember..."
"I know the world seems terrifying right now and the future seems bleak. Just remember human beings have always managed to find the greatest strength within themselves during the darkest hours. When faced with the worst horrors the world has to offer, a person either cracks and succumbs to ugliness, or they salvage the inner core of who they are and fight to right wrongs. Never let hatred, fear, and ignorance get the best of you. "The Motive..."
"All men seek happiness. This is without exception. Whatever different means they employ, they all tend to this end. The cause of some going to war, and of others avoiding it, is the same desire in both, attended with different views. The will never takes the least step but to this object. This is the motive of every action of every man, even of those who hang themselves." - Blaise Pascal

This Picture Could Be the Future for Navy Aircraft Carriers
*Sebastien Roblin* *Security, * Could it happen? Only time will tell whether the pricy CMV-22B brings about the revolution in logistics the Navy is hoping for. For over fifty years, the Navy has operated C-2A Greyhound cargo haulers with twin turboprop engines to ferry personnel, supplies, mail and spare parts to its massive aircraft carriers at sea—a mission known as Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD). Their work becomes known to the world through the mouth and pen of the network of several lesser known philosophers (supporters as well as rivals). TRUMP IS DEMONSTRATING HOW HE CAN WIN, NOT HELPING OTHER REPUBLICANS WIN
How should we interpret the NBC/*Wall Street Journal* poll that was released over the weekend? It seems clear that President Trump is doing a bad job of helping Republicans in 2018, but he's doing a much better job of helping himself, presumably with an eye toward 2020. His numbers are improving: Trump’s job rating among registered voters stands at 47 percent approve, 49 percent disapprove — up from 44 percent approve, 52 percent disapprove a month ago. That’s his highest rating as president in the NBC/WSJ poll. But they're not improving among likely voters: Among likely voters, h... more »

Right now we have a total of five services, but I can remember a time when we had 10, trying to suit all the tastes in worship style and preaching. If it's restricted, it's not free
I spotted this cartoon on Gab: It makes an excellent point. *Speech is either free, or it isn't.* Any restraint, and it's no longer free speech. It really is as simple as that. Some people argue that the Schenk case, in which Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes made his famous comment about shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater, justifies restrictions on otherwise free speech. It took me some time to figure out why the media were full of Jamal Khashoggi (JK), a disappeared U.S.-based journalist of Saudi origin.
