Einstein never interpreted time "t" as a fourth dimension of space. Space is not 3D + T, space is 4D. With clocks we measure numerical order of material change. This numerical order is the only time that exists in a...

New Sloganizing Atheism! Sloganizing Atheism is a response to the elebenty gazillion in-your-face religious billboards, church signs, bumper stickers, t-shirts or other propaganda that I see every day. It is an offense that religious privilege allows these advertisements to be accepted and go...
Jack Lessenberry in today's Chimp: "Twenty or so years ago, the extreme right wing in this country began pouring out exaggerations, smears and hatred of a kind virtually unknown before. They were aided in their ability to do this by an explosion of media access. Standards got looser still, and our political discourse became more and more coarsened. Rick Santorum charged that President Obama 'would go down in history here as the president who has embraced radical Islamic groups,' which is a scary lie."

Our Food Industry In 8 Words: We Think We Can Do Better Than Nature
April 18, 2012 | Sustainability | M.Torres
The problem with our food industry and big agriculture goes far beyond foods which are genetically modified, irradiated, pasteurized, homogenized, enriched, refined, toxically preserved, or grown with antimicrobials, pesticides, herbicides, fungicides or any other "cide." The problem is actually in our minds and how we think about food and nature itself. We are filled with knowledge but no wisdom. We think there will never be consequences to our superiority complexes in how we treat nature.

This is not a "back office" operation. This is a federal laboratory that has evolved since 1916. It's mandate, explained on this page (for as long as it lasts):
The Centre for Plant Health provides testing, virus indexing, therapy, and technology development for viruses and pests of grapevines, treefruits and other crops.
It is also the only post-entry quarantine lab in the country for imported plant species. It was tasked with preventing the introduction and spread of plant virus to and to detect forest invasive insect species.

It was the only one in the country.

Guatemalan President Otto Pérez Molina, who is leading the charge, recently began openly advocating for decriminalisation of recreational drug use. Boldly, Pérez has labelled the war on drugs an abject failure and charges that the crusade costs Central American nations hundreds of millions of dollars every year, as well as the loss of tens of thousands of lives.
I expect the South Americans to move on this and do a Portugal. The point is, should this come to pass, we may see the melt-down of the American conservatives as they have to face a public failure of a cherished delusion.
( Hah. They knew it was b.s. from the get go. That's why scientific 'advisors' are there... to give a veneer of credibility...like other cons. Why let that get the fact it's nonsense and criminalizing what people do to their own bodies get in  the way of a fantastically lucrative scam?
I wonder how long it will be until the state again requires the cultivation of smack ? )
Rutgers officials maintained the drugs illegal status with the U.S. government would jeopardize as much as $552 million in federal grants, contracts, and loans the school relies on annually.
