Agriculture officials warn not to open unsolicited packages of seeds labeled from China
arclein, Terra Forming Terra - 21 hours ago
This is really odd. Someone went to a great deal of trouble to circumvent postal regulations in particular and also did it for a large number of items. The only explanation that i can come up with is to act as a decoy for a parallel shipment to real customers. How about drugs? We ship a bunch to legitimate customers but put out a flood of phony customers who get seeds. This would at least overwelm the system. If that is the case, it really worked. *Agriculture officials warn not to open unsolicited packages of seeds labeled from China* *STEPHANIE EBBS and CHRISTINA CARREGA,...
260-STRONG CHINESE FISHING FLEET ENCROACHES ON PROTECTED GALAPAGOS
arclein, Terra Forming Terra - 21 hours ago
I have posted a long time ago that all high seas fishing needs to be rigorously managed at the least to avoid the curse of the commons. Alternately, all vessals essentially poaching need to be intercepted and either scuttled or seized and sold for damages. Scuttling is the only realistic solution of course. Wrong place wrong cargo. Bolivian Senate approves toxic disinfectant as Covid-19 treatment,
arclein, Terra Forming Terra - 21 hours ago
Chlorine dioxide is a natural anti biological and should be useful if it is applied carefully in a very dilute form. So should hydrgen peroxide and vinegar, but both can be nasty if they are simply too strong. These are also indicated for wiping down surfaces to lower infection risks as well. I do not think it is possible to consume a dangerous quantity. These are the available tools for combating any infectious disease abd we should all be practised in their application. I am growing weary in the assumption from health ministries that the population are illiterate morons unable...
If COVID Fatalities Were 90.2% Lower, How Would You Feel About Schools Reopening?
arclein, Terra Forming Terra - 21 hours ago
We are again discovering that cases have been over reported by ten fold. This is a fraudulent schema. This is the same drill as in Italy. By now we know that we have a nasty militarized cold virus whose effect is easily enough countered with quinine in particular. It is not as dangerous as any flu virus and can be largely allowed to run through the population while attending to those who are vulnerable. Not unlike flu. The sooner gthe bettetr. Vaccines are nonsense for this but industry marketing will promote a panic. The best advice is now out there to kerp you safe. ...

Old Corrupt Billionaires Hiding Behind "Youthful" Thai Protests
Land Destroyer, Alt Thai News Network ATNN - 6 hours ago
*August 3, 2020* (Tony Cartalucci - ATN) - It was ironic that Paritta Wangkiat of the Bangkok Post compared so-called "student protesters" to "wizards" in her article "'Wizards of democracy' wait to be heard" - wizards being fictional characters that in no way, shape, or form exist in reality. Just like "wizards" there is nothing real about these "student" protests. In order to depict "wizards" on stage or in movies one needs to use smoke and mirrors. The same can be said of the protests and the illusion of legitimacy many in the media are trying to create for them. Wangkiat and ...

How Will New Zealand Navigate the New Cold War?
Alexander Gillespie, The National Interest - 20 hours ago
*Alexander Gillespie* *International Relations, Asia-Pacific* New Zealand must now learn to navigate for itself in what will be the most difficult foreign policy challenge the next government will face, because, like it or not, the country is sailing into a new cold war. A new cold war with China is coming and it will be just as dangerous, expensive and pointless as the last one. The difference will be how much more New Zealand is involved. Steering an independent course in these dangerous seas will be very difficult: our Five Eyes security partners will want us to jump one way...
Fine-Particle Air Pollution Has Decreased Across the US, but Poor and Minority Communities Are Still the Dirtiest
Jonathan Colmer and Jay Shimshack, The National Interest - 20 hours ago
*Jonathan Colmer and Jay Shimshack* *Environment, * [image: Reuters] To the extent that policy aims to reduce pollution disparities, the job is far from finished. Air pollution contributes to as many as 9 million premature deaths worldwide each year – twice as many as war, other violence, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria combined. Fine particulate matter air pollution is especially dangerous: Microscopic particles readily enter the lungs, bloodstream and brain, with health effects that include infant death, reduced life expectancy for adults, cancer, lung disease and heart dise...

*Christopher J. Young* *History, * [image: Reuters] Naming a sports team after a destructive event may seem peculiar. Strangely, it is not. In September 1864, having conquered the city of Atlanta, U.S. Maj. Gen. William Tecumseh Sherman proposed marching his army to the coastal city of Savannah, Georgia, destroying railroads, factories, farms and other major sources of Confederate power along the way.
