What you need to know about Sondland

trinko at Conversations about the obvious - 11 hours ago
Trump fired EU Ambassador Sondland for lying to Congress. Sondland changed his sworn statement numerous times. His first statement said there was no quid pro quo. Then, supposedly because some other witness's testimony reminded him that he had in fact said there was a quid pro quo. This was very major, which is why dishonest Adam Schiff and the Articles of impeachment cited Sondland so much, because Sondland was a first hand witness. The only witness with first hand knowledge who was claiming there was a quid pro quo. But when questioned Sondland admitted that he didn't have any f... more »

Uriel at 'Nox & Friends - 11 hours ago
Statement from the Press Secretary on Supreme Court Victory January 27, 2020 Today’s stay from the Supreme Court is a massive win for American taxpayers, American workers, and the American Constitution. This decision allows the Government to implement regulations effectuating longstanding Federal law that newcomers to this country must be financially self-sufficient and not a “public charge” on our country and its citizens. Two courts of appeals had already ruled that the Government should be able to implement these regulations, but one single district judge’s nationwide injunction ... more »

Trump’s Real Gift to Putin and Russia Isn't Collusion

He also explains how legal loopholes exempt vaccine makers from rigorous testing. RFK Jr. goes on to discuss the revolving door between Big Pharma and the bodies that are supposed to oversee it and curtail its abuses. He argues that regulatory capture has turned the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) into "a vaccine company."

"The BBC hides, when it's under criticism, it hides."

Craig at Is the BBC biased? - 14 hours ago
I did smile at this week's* Newswatch* (also discussed by John on the open thread). The programme played a clip of Lord Grade slamming BBC heads for "hiding" from criticism and then Samira Ahmed, in her most headmistress-like tone of disapproval, stated, "Well, we asked the BBC for an interview to explain the decision did not broadcast the statement. But they refused". Ouch! *Samira Ahmed*: The main complaint about Friday's coverage of Brexit night was to do with the Prime Minister's statement and the BBC's decision not to broadcast the footage. Usually in these kind of situations... more »

Big And Dumb

Doug Ford visited Washington this week. He was there to talk trade. But he also waded into U.S. politics and the upcoming election. The Canadian Press reports: Ontario Premier Doug Ford waded into U.S. politics during a visit to the country's capital on Friday, criticizing high-profile Democratic politicians and appearing to endorse President Donald Trump's bid for re-election. Ford took shots at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Bernie Sanders during an event organized by the Canadian American Business Council. The Premier was in Washington D.C. along with a group of other pro... more »

Chile: On the Road to Revolution or Paradigm Shift?

barovsky at The New Dark Age - 14 hours ago
For more than three months since October 18, 2020, the Chilean people have been resisting and the government of Chile has been ignoring their demands: a decent salary, beyond the crumbs it has given them, the end of the AFP, free and dignified health care for the people, free education for all young people, free transportation to work, and so forth.

Iowa disaster redux: DNC demands recanvass as more sordid details emerge about Shadow app’s backers

barovsky at The New Dark Age - 14 hours ago
Increasingly glaring irregularities in the Iowa caucus have forced DNC chair Tom Perez to call for a recanvass, as new revelations about those who funded the fiasco suggest a campaign to steal not just the election, but the party.

Getting Out

jezail.org 02/07/20 – Some years ago, this writer, having carried a rifle in Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation, found myself at a think tank conference advocating that the US should get it’s soldiers out of Afghanistan and just get out. I thought it was a bad idea before any American boots hit the ground. I […] More The post Getting Out appeared first on The Duran.

WuHan Coronavirus: Russian Media Hint at Western Elites Behind Ethnic Bio-Weapon

mosesman at Socio-Economics History Blog - 15 hours ago
The BBC is putting their spin on Russian media reports. IMO, the Western Illuminati is behind this WuHan virus and it is an ethnic specific bio-weapon targeting Asian males. I do not buy the theory that Trump is involved. This is false. – The larger agenda is some version of the FreeMasonic Satanic “Anglo-Saxon Mission”. …

Ever fancied publishing a book critical of the BBC?

Craig at Is the BBC biased? - 15 hours ago
Talking about David Sedgwick's new book *The Fake News Factory: Tales from BBC-land*, I think you'll find this seriously alarming: *Sinking The Enemy BBC Style* David's piece begins: When I heard through a third-party that the BBC was planning, and I quote, 'to sink' my new book about them I wasn't that surprised. After all, the theme of 'The Fake News Factory: Tales from BBC-land,' is BBC dishonesty. Indeed, it made perfect sense. Although friends scoffed at the idea, I have since discovered that this was no idle threat. Now read on... more »

Right-thinkers, wrong-thinkers and the BBC

Craig at Is the BBC biased? - 15 hours ago
Yum, yum? In his new book *The FakeNews Factory: Tales from BBC-land *David Sedgwick writes: One of the most pervasive fake news tells of all manifests in the very different treatment meted out to those who agree with the BBC agenda (right-thinkers) and those who disagree with it (wrong-thinkers). An impartial organisation meanwhile would of course treat individuals fairly and equitably in spite of political affiliations. I read that after listening to Mishal Husain interviewing Liam Halligan and Vicky Pryce on *Today *this morning. Liam Halligan is the 'wrong-thinker' on Brexit... more »

Two Types Of Racism

Unknown at The Verma Report - 15 hours ago
Racism can be viewed from two different perspectives: first, the racism that results from the feelings of affinity and trust that one may have for one’s own ethnic group; second, the racism that results from the feelings of loathing and distrust that one may harbor for one’s own ethnic group. The first type of racism is natural and moral and is generally found in the people with a conservative mindset. The second type of racism is unnatural and immoral and is generally found in the people with a liberal or leftist mindset. The first type of racism can inspire nativist and nationalist... more »

Monica asked if I wrote it and I responded

Norma at Collecting My Thoughts - 15 hours ago
I didn't write the Forbes article, but the commentary is all me. My opinion. When it's someone else's opinion, I put it in quotes or link. Like Michael Smith or Michael Rectenwald. It's how I usually write. Get it down, then look up a source that confirms what I think is true. I even wrote that way when publishing was required for promotion and tenure. I'd start with what I knew (or on my office book shelf), then find the sources. Maybe everyone does that, but I did get to Associate Professor. That said, because I read a lot and am a news junky, my opinions are not necessarily orig... more »

Presidents who used Saul Alinsky’s style

Norma at Collecting My Thoughts - 15 hours ago
Saul Alinsky is considered the "Father of Community Organizing;" he was the idol of both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. One of Obama's jobs out of law school was as "community organizer" in Chicago. And yet one of Alinsky’s rules (added to the 1972 edition of *Rules for Radicals*) is "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." has been mastered by Donald Trump who is a businessman and capitalist, not a politician/Marxist and definitely not a community organizer. - Make America Great Again. - Fake news. - Pencil-neck. - Low IQ. - Lock her up.... more »
