Dismiss, Acquit or Vacate
Ted Noel writing in N.O.Q. Report brings up the point the Senate should Vacate the charges against President Trump, thereby making sure democrats would need to be more diligent in identifying charges and if they meet the standards for impeachment in the Constitution. 0-0 I’m no lawyer and I don’t play one on TV but this makes a lot of sense. Killing unborn girls because the mother wants a boy may be becoming common in America
There is no indication that sex selection abortions, which almost always result in the execution of a girl, are having a massive impact on American's in general. However certain ethnic subpopulations are showing clear signs of significant numbers of sex selection abortions. Here's the plot of the number of boys born for every 100 girls who are born. Throughout human history there have generally been between 103 and 105 boys born for every 100 girls. Obviously there are variations but remember that if say 10% of Asian Americans had a sex selection abortion and we assume that without... more »
It's official; Adam Schiff is insane
In his closing arguments to the Senate Adam Schiff said that it would be a non-criminal action for Trump to unilaterally offer Alaska to Russia. I'm not sure but I suspect that giving away a state without a vote or Congressional approval is illegal. Heck we fought a war against the Democrats who wanted to take multiple states out of the Union so that they could keep slavery legal so odds are somewhere it says that the President can't give away a state. But the real insanity is that Schiff would think that Trump would give away a state with two Republican Senators.

Bernie Sanders doesn't believe in charities

Democrat's Iowa Caucuses hacked?
Democrats are having a heck of a time counting votes in Iowa. They're blaming problems with the app they're using to collect votes. Yet it's Democrats who say that Republicans hack elections.

On The Essence Of “I”
The ultimate metaphysical problem is the problem of being. One being with whom all of us are intimate is the entity we identify as “I”. But what does the word “I” refer to? Does it refer to the body, the soul, or the mind? Those who reject dualism will assert that there is no distinction between the body and mind and that the soul doesn’t exist. But even in a non-dualistic system there is a differentiation between the mind and the body—the mind is regarded as an attribute or function of the brain. I can’t see how one can identify the essence of “I” without accepting some form of dua... more »

But the "Squad" (all Democrats and supporters of Bernie Sanders for President) wants ICE dismantled. Now why would that be? Why would these four women support such evil crimes against women and children and families? We can't allow our elected officials to bad mouth and disrespect law enforcement. They didn't write the laws; they enforce them. "HSI [Homeland Security Investigations] arrested 5,750 cri... more »
USED Pitches Privatization To Wyoming
Mitchell Zais, Deputy Secretary of Education, last week visited Wyoming to stump for school choice. He wrote for the Wyoming Parent his version of the department's sales pitch for Betsy DeVos's Education Freedom vouchery program. Wyoming parents (and taxpayers), this is a bit of a snow job. Let me explain. He opens by recognizing that humans are individuals, so that he can say this: *So why does American education group students by age, and expect them to learn the same material, on the same schedule, pretty much in the same way?* This guyThe answer is: they don't. In fact, they so... more »

By John Droz, Jr. February 3, 2020 The *Alliance for Wise Energy Decisions* (AWED) is an informal coalition of individuals and organizations interested in improving national, state, and local energy, environmental and education policies. Our premise is that technical matters like these should be addressed by using Real Science (please consult WiseEnergy.org for more information). A key element of AWED’s efforts is public education. Towards that end, every two± weeks we put together a newsletter to balance what is found in the mainstream media about energy and the environment. We app... more »
Far-left "Journalist" Freaks Out About Conservatives
[image: alex-newman-far-left-journalist-freaks-out-about-conservatives] VIDEO - At the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP25) in Madrid, The New American magazine's foreign correspondent was minding his own business asking people for their opinions. Suddenly, a guy walks up to the people Newman was interviewing and warns them that The New American is a "right-wing" magazine. Apparently, this far-left activist, Micah Garen, who has worked with George Soros' foundation and the UN, believes journalists should preface questions by explaining their own political opinions. Yet he... more »
Iowa caucuses, Super Bowl viewers!
*MONDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2020Numbers that aren't what they seem:* This evening, we're celebrating one of our dumbest national rituals—the quadrennial Iowa caucuses. No one can explain how they actually work. No one even *attempts* to explains why they work that way. To maintain belief in the reasonableness of the system, journalists avoid taking note of the very small number of Iowa voters who actually take part. As with so many of our failing systems, the whole thing is a gong show, a rather embarrassing mess. We decided to skip this topic today since all such discussion is pointle... more »

A Professor Asks a Serious Question: Can Anthrax Cure Cancer?
*R. Claudio Aguilar* *Security, * Let's test it on dogs first to make sure. Can the feared anthrax toxin become an ally in the war against cancer? Successful treatment of pet dogs suffering bladder cancer with an anthrax-related treatment suggest so. Anthrax is a disease caused by a bacterium, known as *Bacillus anthracis*, which releases a toxin that causes the skin to break down and forms ulcers, and triggers pneumonia and muscle and chest pain. To add to its sinister resumé, and underscore its lethal effects, this toxin has been infamously used as a bioweapon. However, my co... more »
Javelin Time: This Missile Is How NATO Would Wipeout Russia's Tanks
*Sebastien Roblin* *Security, Europe* [image: https://www.reutersconnect.com/all?id=tag%3Areuters.com%2C2019%3Anewsml_RC2APD9RTWTJ&share=true] A mighty weapon. *Key point:* Javelin anti-tack missiles are powerful and effective. Washington knows that these weapons will be on the front lines during an invasion by Russian forces. The U.S.-made FGM-148 Javelin is one of the premier portable anti-tank missile systems in the world. It’s also an expensive piece of kit, with each missile typically costing more than the targets it eliminates. Still, the infrared guided Javelin has prove... more »

How the Powerful T-72MJ Has a Mixed Western and Russian Heritage

That country tried to stay neutral during the Cold War and so courted both Moscow and Washington. Expert: Iran’s Leaders Know Their Military Is Outdated. They Don’t Care
*David Axe* *Security, Middle East* “Never have I seen a country more cognizant of its conventional military deficiencies.” Iran’s conventional weaponry is hopelessly out of date, and the country’s leaders know it, according to one expert. But conventional military inferiority hardly fazes Tehran. Cold War Mini-Jet: Meet the XF-85 Goblin That America Built to Protect Is Nuclear Bombers
*Sebastien Roblin* *History, Americas* [image: By Author given as] What happened to it? *Key point:* The XF-85 was an interesting idea. However, it wasn't a good one and the Goblin quickly became out of date. Its manufacturer called it the “Goblin”—and by looks alone, the egg-shaped jet certainly deserved the name. The McDonnell XF-85 jet resembled little more than a pressurized cockpit on top of a bulbous J34 turbojet engine, with small stubby swept-back wings that could fold inwards. Rounding out its ghastly appearance were an unusual three tail stabilizers, three shark-like b... more »

"The Minds Of Men..."
"The minds of men were gradually reduced to the same level, the fire of genius was extinguished. The name of Poet was almost forgotten; that of Orator was usurped by the sophists. This diminutive stature of mankind was daily sinking below the old standard." - Edward Gibbon, "The Decline And Fall of The Roman Empire"

More Government Spending Does Not Buy Results In Education Or Poverty Reduction

Yes, we pay higher taxes than they do in other places, but for that we get a much higher level of social services to lift up the poor and the downtrodden. Or at least, that’s the narrative. * I first covered this subject back in the very early days of this blog, on November 13, 2012, in a post titled “Why New York City Is A High Tax Jurisdiction.” That post pointed out that in fact the differential in public spending (and therefore taxes) between New York City and other jurisdictions c... more »
